18/11/2016 09:57 | bid after market close today? | tattooed93
18/11/2016 09:32 | If a bid appears it should be large enough to deter any possibility of it being 'Trumped' by another bidder. After all it wasn't the technology (which is excellent) or the innovation (also good) which brought Sepura down, but poor financial management. In my opinion, for what it's worth, that any company which is not afraid of the technology, but understands how to manage cash flow is a potential bidder. For Hytera, the attraction is the removal of a potentially powerful competitor, and faster penetration of the US market. US companies may have to think about this. | gregsc
18/11/2016 09:04 | With the company having raised £65mn earlier in the year at 35p, I would very surprised if anything less than 35 would be entertained. | langland
18/11/2016 08:07 | We don't have an offer, the 25p speculated is not official , it's press speculation and most importantly is ridiculous Once an offer is made and its official and has to be notified, then the share price will get to that level in minutes S | sweenoid
18/11/2016 07:56 | It always shoots up to within a couple of percent of a firm offer | panic investor
17/11/2016 23:56 | Interesting to see that Avesco had a takeover offer today and the price shot up almost immediately to close to the offer. Do any experienced users feel that the same would happen with Sepura, or will we see a more gradual rise? | stocknoob
17/11/2016 23:54 | Just shows quality of technology | tsmith2
17/11/2016 22:54 | I think its fairly obvious to say that Sepura under descent management -which it now has ( I think the CEO on 'leave' should be despatched) is worth more than the present SP I think Hytera are serious about buying this company-they are a large dynamic growing company, that Sepura fits with nicely and would not have issued a statement unless they were definitly considering buying I think even without a bid this could go to 35p within 6 months I think a bid would have to be 35+ to even be considered and 45p to be considered seriously , I will be adding more in the morning S | sweenoid

17/11/2016 08:11 | SupernumeracyYes security is an interesting angle to look at it when considering a possible bidding war with the chinese | apfindley
17/11/2016 01:56 | Somewhat surprising that the American spooks might be prepared to allow so much control of their emergency infrastructure to fall under the control of the Chinese... | supernumerary
16/11/2016 15:59 | OK, thanks. I didn't dig deep enough into Harris to notice that. Maybe we really could have a decent auction here. | 1gw
16/11/2016 15:47 | I had the impression from reading Harris literature that they were trying to diversify away from defence, and they have announced new LTE radios, but have in the past offered Motorola TETRA handsets, if I remember correctly. Anyway it will be interesting to see if the Americans respond. Thanksgiving on the 24th so I would think we would hear before then. | gregsc
16/11/2016 14:35 | Why do you say Sepura is a better fit with Harris than with Hytera, GregSC? I looked at this a little while ago (admittedly not in any great depth) and thought that Hytera was a great fit because Sepura, Hytera and Motorola are really the only 3 global players (non-defence land mobile radio) aren't they? so 2 of them getting together must provide scope for big synergy benefits, quite apart from the likely lower level of future competition for big orders. There might be a question over regulatory approval but if they could get it through at the right price for Hytera it ought to be a winner. Apart from the synergy benefits I would have thought strategically it would be attractive in terms of strengthening their US/Latam/Europe position. Motorola would also likely see big synergy benefits in my opinion but seems to be much more focused on "software and services" acquisitions. However, as a defensive play to stop Hytera getting the prize too cheaply, I could see them bidding up to a certain level. Harris it seemed to me was more defence-oriented. If anything, I thought JVCKenwood might be a better fit than Harris, because of the JVCKenwood alliance with Airbus on developing and commercialising public safety wireless broadband systems (assuming that's still in place). I looked at Harris and JVCKenwood just because these were listed in Motorola's 10-K as competitors in traditional land mobile radio. | 1gw
16/11/2016 13:27 | It would be interesting to see if or when a bid from Hytera materialises, whether other parties such as Motorola, or Harris corporation show an interest. Sepura would be a better fit to Harris than Hytera | gregsc
16/11/2016 11:52 | Looks we are heading towards a BLUE afternoon!!! | miahkaysor
16/11/2016 11:27 | 40p would be a decent offer. | miahkaysor
16/11/2016 10:59 | It's been set at 75p. AIMHO. That's about as credible as 2636. It's not in the public domain so anybody's guess at the moment. It seems likely a bid will be made though and if I was involved in the recent placing I wouldn't accept less than 40p otherwise what was the point? Hytera raising capital is a very strong indicator as is the announcement that any offer would be in cash - a very definitive statement so early on. What is clear to me is that an offer of 35p would most likely be rejected. | chadders
16/11/2016 10:43 | Good opportunity to sell above the maximum offer price. As I have been saying ever since the shares were ramped to 27p and beyond..........the offer price has been set at 22p - maximum. AIMHO of course. | ohdearohdearohdear
16/11/2016 10:38 | BLUE SOOOOON! | miahkaysor
