02/7/2017 21:11 | Do not plumb the depths where others may be and indulge in similar behaviours to those that inhabit the other Board - it is unnecessary and helps no one. If they want to indulge in some form of mental masturbation then let them do it and be judged accordingly | alftupper

02/7/2017 10:07 | I agree with your last sentence about neither ruling anything in nor out. We know they are having to climb the Eiger to get somewhere that results in commercial success. If you want to bring about change then form an Action Group and make your views known to the major shareholders with a view to calling an EGM - the older shareholders probably hold a similar view to yoursef | alftupper
30/6/2017 18:50 | For any who didn't see it and who are genuinely interested, the following episode of BBC2's Hospital is excellent. All about new cancer treatments, especially those that are currently not yet available on the NHS. Gives a real insight into the true human impact of the field Scancell are operating in. Of particular interest is Glendon who has a brain tumour and is paying for treatment with PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor, Keytruda. This isn't an NHS/NICE funding issue as Keytruda hasn't yet been approved for glioblastoma. He has chosen to pay for a course of treatment himself at a cost of £30,000 per infusion. What isn't clear from the programme is just how low the chances of success are. I haven't seen response rates to PD-1 for glioblastoma but they range from about 16% to around 30% in other cancers. So Glendon is paying at the very least £60,000 which will only give him 2 infusions for a treatment that has a low chance of success. Also of note is Nicky - the programme highlights just what poor treatment options are available at the moment for ovarian cancer. No matter what your view on Scancell, the BOD or LSE posters, please make time to watch. Finally, a shameless plug here. If you do watch and you feel generous please consider a donation to Nicky's treatment fund (link below). hxxps://www.gofundme | bermudashorts
