Nice start to week - The last quarter of 2016 will see us sail away from the low 4's with the number of RNS's due from now to the year end.

The further jv extension announced this morning is very short, I wonder if that means they're almost there.

"Savannah Resources plc (AIM: SAV) ('Savannah' or 'the Company'), the AIM quoted resource development company, advises that Rio Tinto and Savannah have agreed to extend the long stop date of the joint venture agreement (announced on 22 June 2015(1) ) from 30 September 2016 until 10 October 2016 (or such later date as may be agreed in writing between the parties)."

As seen in the main chart above, we're at the bottom of the upward trend line that started in January.

So set for a bounce and probably on the back of near term RNS's

Good news today, hopefully the permitting process will not take too long. Get the impression that Oman is keen to promote mining projects so let's see. Momentum building towards production next year.

Good news.But the market cap is already at £18mill, so dont see how the price can warrant too much of a rise at this point.

BW. Hi. Hope you are well. Some would appear to saying that it is excellent and they may well turn out to be right. Personally I think that I would like to see a little more than under 5% of the results before taking the bottle of bubbly out of the fridge. it is there already in expectation as I am a bull on this.

Great RNS this morning on the Lithium project in Finland .......

"Savannah Resources plc (AIM: SAV) (‘SavannahR17; or ‘the Company’), the AIM quoted resource development company, announces that reconnaissance rockchip sampling over its new lithium projects in Finland, Somero and Erajarvi, has returned anomalous lithium results.

HIGHLIGHTS:  4 weeks of an 8-10 week reconnaissance geological mapping and rockchip sampling programme has been completed

A total of 70 rockchip samples have been collected to date and submitted to the laboratory for analysis, with 3 assay results returned to date 

Initial analysis, geological mapping and rock chip sampling has highlighted: o Somero Project has prospective pegmatites up to 1,200m long and 50m wide with an initial rockchip assay of 4% lithium oxide (‘Li2O’) o Erajarvi Project has prospective pegmatites up to 800m long and 30m wide with an initial rockchip assay of 1.29% Li2O 

Key lithium minerals petalite, spodumene and lepidolite were all identified in hand specimens  The remaining assays are expected to be received over the next four to six weeks and the results will be announced as soon as practicable thereafter

Finland is one of the most prospective countries on mainland Europe for potential lithium discoveries. Both project areas have excellent access to high quality infrastructure and are located close to potential final customers

David Archer, Savannah’s Chief Executive Officer said today, “We are very pleased that this early work is already confirming both encouraging grades and
defining significant pegmatites at surface containing key lithium minerals. Finland is a lithium focus for a number of companies, both because of its excellent mining legislation and its infrastructure endowment. These initial results are promising and we keenly await the next set of results.”

Seemed to rise or fall for no apparent reason at the moment. Hopefully the Moz news is round the corner, think that will be a game changer. Not sure why the Moz government would not want it to happen, I suppose DA has to prove that SAV have the resources to prove it up and mine it.

BW, hi. Long time, little contact. We have both tracked this one for long enough now. At outset I had been taking a 4-5 year view on the assumption that progress was being made. Seem to have had an impasse delay in moz which has been a bit of a pity, otherwise there has been a good flow of positive news from Oman and I am fairly positive on th eFinnish assets.We shall get to wherever it lands, whenever it does.

Just checked the broker forecasts on this and there are 5 different names following it, quite amazing for a small stock. Mirabaud has a 125p target(!)

Just bought some more.

well they had the £1.75m odd injection earlier this year and any project money will come through off take agreements and other sources so I don't think a placing is on the cards

Just a bit of a breather in my eyes and clearing out impatient traders who raced it up over the last couple of weeks.
