Funding for mining in Oman expected soon Same topic : January 24, 2016 " Oman to set up business promotion offices abroad, says OCCI official" ( courtesy of okenia thanks ) "one of the major areas of focus in terms of investment promotion will be the mining sector"---- perhaps good opportunity for SAV - drilling results due this month !!!! http://timesofoman.com/article/76068/Oman/Investment-promotion-offices-planned-abroad-by-Oman-says-OCCI-official "MUSCAT: Investment promotion offices are planned to be set up in several countries, said a senior official at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI).The chamber will focus in a major way this year on business and investment opportunities in Oman, and offices will be set up in five countries, Redha Juma Mohammed Ali Al Saleh, vice-chairman at the OCCI, told the Times of Oman. The official explained that this year, one of the major areas of focus in terms of investment promotion will be the mining sector, given the recent establishment of an OMR100-million mining development company, called Mining Development Oman (MDO).The company was recently set up by the State General Reserve Fund (SGRF), the Oman Investment Fund (OIF), the Oman Oil Company (OOC) and Oman National Investments Development Company (Tanmia)."Good luck everyone !

I think DA has the appropriate sense of urgency in this now. Generate cash then prove up resource with that revenue rather than proving everything up and continually diluting. The company knows there is a mineable resource there.

Q2: Now, what are your plans for 2016 for the Oman projects?A2: With this very sort of strong database we have here based around really an extraordinary legacy or around about 100km of historical drilling, we've really got all the data that will allow us to start training up a notable economic evaluation of the mine development. So we're doing that at the moment and that will provide us with a sort of a path to an ultimate mine development and production in 2017. In the meantime, we'll be focussed on securing funding next year and I'm pleased to report that we've already seen some very strong interest, both from specialist private equity funds in the resource space and from individual Middle-Eastern investors, I'm in Oman at the moment in fact. So financing will be a main activity and of course, moving through the process of JORC assessment, scoping and feasibility studies.

Interest in financing the project is the key takeaway from that interview. Hopefully JORC and scoping study on the cards for next year with start of PFS and BFS.

But what has happened to Moz?

Good that they are starting to put some parameters around the resource, should lead to a JORC in the nearish future.
