The placing would appear to be the catalyst, DA appears to have played a shrewd move IMHO by raising a decent amount and restricting this to three long term supporters, all of which appear to have sticky fingers and not the usual bucket shop antics of AIM, Savannah yet again demonstrate they are a class act of Aim and no wonder the likes of Rio Tinto are working alongside them......GL S

Yep, unlikely to get a royalty deal until at PFS at least. Mining projects take ages, it is a nightmare.

Didn't fall straight away, but downward pressure has been put on SAV from the sales. I don't think after the JORC we will be in a position to get royalty tie ins as we would need to compleate feasibility studies etc. before we can do this.

turboil - i think that the plan for further raising wont be through equity placings but through Royalty tie ins.

Its clear that any large amounts of funding wont be coming through dilutive placings at anywhere near this level and neither at a higher level too

Exciting three months ahead and the price did hold this AM :-)

but that's the trouble with SAV, it can never hold on to its gains. I guess there's too many short term traders. SAV have enough cash now for the drilling in Oman but what about the next stage - when they announce the next really good news presumably at the end of the year they will have to have another placing straight after to fund the next stage. Placing prices have been 4.45p then 2.5p and now 1.7p, how low is DA willing to go?

ertugrul - you can see from the trade time that they are not delayed trades

turb - I don't think £20k of trades will be majorly detrimental - maybe a 0.05p softening but the news flow of the next three months will make this level history.

: Savannah Resources plans to use these funds towards a 1,500m drill programme to test targets at on Blocks 4 and 5. The drill programme is designed to produce a maiden JORC mineral resource estimate on Block 4 and increase its mineral resource estimate on Block 5, both significant catalysts expected before the end of the year.
