09/11/2007 09:50 | now thay have started a 3rd shift making these solar roofing layers it would be nice to have more contracts announced. could they have stopped the contracts because they have sold all the production already for the year, i notice their guidance for next year is a 50% increase, this would tie in with 50% increase in production. now if upc solar that cost a load of money for us could actually do something good from now on it would be nice as they only brought a couple of projects this year that we know of. | motoben

(AIM:SIT.LN), a leading provider of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roofing systems, announced today that it has been awarded three new contracts to supply and install innovative BIPV roofing systems for three separate U.S. federal government projects. The three projects total U.S.$2.6 million and include BIPV roofing systems to be installed at a U.S. Navy base in California, a U.S. Marine Corps base in Hawaii, and a federal government building in New Mexico. 10/10/2007 09:46 | It says they are "positioning the Company for profitability in 2008." That sounds several steps below "we expect to be profitable" to me. That sort of weasely ambiguoys phrase annoys me. | martinc
10/10/2007 08:54 | they have cut overheads, and increased efficiency | asparks
10/10/2007 08:46 | Hi asparks, all I'm saying is that 15% margin on $80m is $12m profit, but expenses and admin costs were $12m in 1st half, so where's the profit? | james t kirk
10/10/2007 08:06 | James - that's certainly NOT what the results and various announcements have said. They are confident of 15% margin, and of profit I believe | asparks |
