10/10/2007 07:35 | Further looking at this, the cash position looks a bit worrying and they don't seem likely on 15% margins to turn a profit even on $60-$80m revenue. At market cap of £50m+ I can't see much upside? | james t kirk
10/10/2007 07:25 | Just noticed this RNS and looked at the interims. Looks like they believe they can incresae sales in the second half by 300%. That would be interesting for the share price. | james t kirk

21/9/2007 20:32 | Yes, up today.... but widened to 5p spread .... so offer price at start of day still ended up being above bid price at end of day ..... Probably will go up further .... but on my present investment criteria ain't buying it now .... Plenty of 'recovery' stocks around after recent 'mini-crisis'. Quite happy with performance of my main stock today .... But good luck to anyone that does buy in to SIT..... | don muang
21/9/2007 20:17 | Don - dont miss your chance......nice tick up today.... | asparks
20/9/2007 13:15 | I don't short unless its indicies ..... and am certainly not deluded that any 'one liners' I make on a free BB are likely to influence share price eitherway as you know from my previous posts on this thread ,first got in SIT < 30 when it looked a good recovery play, then last out when > 100 when it looked overbought .... will wait a while yet to see if / when can buy in again at lower than present price... better to preserve capital in todays market and consider all opportunities as & when they appear... better to pass up opportunity of small trading or investment profit if possibility of bigger loss exists.... | don muang
20/9/2007 13:10 | don - how's your short? | asparks

16/9/2007 15:03 | been on holiday, and actually ended up for a while in viadolid, spain where one of the new contracts was for, the shopping center is only a few years old so this must be worth while putting it up instead of the plain roof. results i am a bit suprised at, was expecting more revenue, seems they havn't completed the tesco contracts or the landfill in italy yet (may have now as its for end of june) and they didnt announce all the projects they have won and they must have been small ones anyway as i make the contracts this half to be about 6mw. tesco and italy =4mw. and with tesco expecting to open in november they need to get their speed up more and a 3rd shift is good, once these are done $27m is in the kitty anyone know more about warrants and other compensation that was $8m and care to explain it to me | motoben

13/9/2007 05:42 | Top Photovoltaic Manufacturers and Installers Form The Solar Alliance to Accelerate Solar Policies in the States Coalition appoints former Congresswoman Claudine Schneider as president BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The leading U.S. solar electricity module manufacturers and systems integrators announced today that they had joined forces to form The Solar Alliance and appointed the Hon. Claudine Schneider, former five-term U.S. Congresswoman from Rhode Island, as the group's first president. The Solar Alliance will focus its efforts on supporting state lawmakers, regulators and utilities in their efforts to establish more effective solar policies and programs throughout the United States. Inaugural members of The Solar Alliance include: American Solar Electric, BP Solar, Conergy (CEYHF.PK), DT Solar, Energy Innovations, Evergreen Solar (NASDAQ ESLR), First Solar (FSLR), Kyocera Solar (NYSE KYO), Mitsubishi Electric, MMA Renewable Ventures, PPM Energy, Inc. REC Solar, Sanyo Energy (TYO-SANYY), Schott Solar, Sharp Solar, SolarWorld, SPG Solar, Sun Edison, SunPower (SPWR), Suntech (NYSE STP), United Solar and Xantrex (XTX.TL). "Solar energy has captured the imagination of a diverse group of businesses and homeowners around the country as a way to gain control over electricity prices and contribute positively to the environment at the same time," said Claudine Schneider, President of The Solar Alliance. "We want to offer our experience and assistance to the governors, state legislators and regulators as they devise policies and programs to respond to the growing demand for solar by their constituents. It is also our intention to form coalitions with corporations, grass roots organizations, academic institutions as well as local governments that advocate solar energy so that we may all speak with one, stronger voice." "We are extremely grateful to have been able to attract such an experienced policymaker as Claudine Schneider to be our president," said Mark Farber, vice president of strategic planning for Evergreen Solar and chairman of the board of The Solar Alliance. "In addition to her five terms in Congress, where she authored legislation that advanced energy efficiency and renewable energy in the U.S., she has been a strategic advisor to a variety of renewable energy groups, including National Grid, EPA Climate Leaders, the Center for Resource Solutions, the American Solar Energy Society and the Climate Institute. Her experience and contacts will be invaluable to us as we work to help the states adopt cost-effective solar policies." In addition to its efforts with the states, The Solar Alliance works closely with the Solar Energy Industries Association and supports that group's efforts to pursue solar policies on a national level. 12/9/2007 09:41 | I'm not impressed either by these figures. Seems they have employed too many people and are finding things for them to do. "Roofing and Maintenance: The Company installs and maintains for select clients energy-efficient roofing systems in Southern California. The Company can install these roofing systems pre-wired for potential future solar retrofit. The Company believes this strategy maintains and strengthens its customer relationships, positions the Company to capture additional business for its BIPV roofing systems, provides additional margin-generating revenue, and provides for smoothing of labor deployment. The Company expects this market segment to decline as a percentage of revenue over time." I've sold. 12% loss but that's life. | dasv |
