RAVI RAMBARRAN appointed Group Chief Operating Officer, Sagicor Financial Corporation

Limited, with responsibility for the Southern Caribbean

Ravi Rambarran was be appointed to the post of Group Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for the Southern Caribbean on January 1, 2018.

Ravi Rambarran joined the Sagicor Group of Companies in 1997 in Jamaica where he held senior management positions at Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited, including the role of the Appointed Actuary of the subsidiaries. From 2005, he held the post of Group Executive Vice President- Strategy, and was subsequently appointed President and Chief Executive Officer - the International division in 2008. He has served as Director of Sagicor Life Insurance Company (USA) since 2008.

His work experience includes Pension Actuary at Sagicor Life Jamaica, Chief Financial and Investment Officer of Sagicor Life Jamaica, Managing Director of NCB Capital Markets and West Indian Trust Company and part time lecturer in Actuarial Science at the University of the West Indies. Prior to joining Sagicor Life Jamaica, Mr. Rambarran was a Consulting Actuary with the Aon and HSBC Groups in the United Kingdom. Earlier this year, he was appointed to the post of Executive Vice President Corporate Strategy and Investor Relations.

He will also be responsible for various group corporate functions.
