19/12/2012 10:43 | well well, only takes a bit of crookedness to start the share price heading north at last | dupree
18/12/2012 21:43 | Can't believe people are buying this one...it's a mugs game. There is only one direction that any residual value is heading and its not to the minority shareholders! | topvest
18/12/2012 18:23 | Still rising with every buy :)) | battlebus2
15/12/2012 16:25 | That's very old news. Photo-me is a fine company. Safeland on the other hand is run as a private company, doesn't reward shareholders and has been milked by its directors for the last decade. | topvest
15/12/2012 14:56 | Top vest the Photo Me fine of 1/2M from the FSA I cant recall the details.....or how long ago it was if you do a search through the RNSs I guess it will say.... or google search FSA and Photo Me | markt
14/12/2012 20:51 | Looks like the FD got fed-up being last at the trough here! | topvest
14/12/2012 17:44 | Results out and a profit! Still no mention of delisting so looks like we will continue trading for the foreseeable future. Only 200k recovered so far. | battlebus2
14/12/2012 17:14 | + 30.77 % & 2nd on the leader-board. wow, doesn't happen often. I think fair value's c 15/16p with ALL issues ( including 'family' control ) considered ( NAI ). | the troll
14/12/2012 15:50 | Slowly ticking up :)) | battlebus2
14/12/2012 15:48 | harshest possible nav = 27.66p I reckon ( ie, assuming - no ( further ) missing dosh recovered, all outstanding options exercised & no ( further ) valuation uplifs from the backpackers-lodge JV & tennis club ). there are probably worse punts available, eg; we might ultimately see a demerger of that JV ( a la bizspace etc ) if it's successful. | the troll
21/11/2012 20:01 | I think the picture is, there is no way for us guys to get at the nav. Just have to hope the Lipmans wake up one day and decide to flog it all off and pay us all out. Does the doss house sound like another in a long line of hare-brained schemes? Bit of a racket- looks like daylight robbery from out front, but that was just obscuring fraud in the back rooms. | dupree
19/11/2012 08:55 | Perhaps if I changed my name to Lipman?, or, is Maureen married? i read a story about broke people living out of furntiture storage facilities, I wonder if there is a market niche here for a joint offering from SafeStore and SafeSleep? Bring your own bed.... Perhaps with some insurance and maid service cross-selling thrown in | dupree
12/11/2012 20:04 | This is all very convenient for directors to take this private and "take" what is left through their over-indulgent salaries. Oh well...Larry still has his Enzo I believe to fall back on I suppose. I got out a while back, but still watch with interest. The only think that is certain is that if your surname doesn't end with Lipman, you can forget getting much back as Ferrari Enzo's cost quite a bit to keep running! Still no comment on who stole the cash...there are only 10 of them! Markt - interested in your Photo-me comment - what have they done wrong? | topvest
12/11/2012 14:57 | Baker Tilly UK Audit LLP resigned as auditor I wonder if Baker Tilly will be included in any legal process ...for negligence or gross negligence... since one assumes that Baker Tilly should have detected the " series of fraudulent transactions" as part of the audit. (whether they did and then blew the whistle or maybe their audits did not find the fraudulent transactions when perhaps they should have.....maybe we will find out later...) | markt
12/11/2012 14:52 | Safeland...down again. "topvest 13 Oct'12 - 14:45 - 215 of 222 Interesting announcement this week. Doesn't mention who stole the money. Safeland's demise is long overdue as a result of the greedy salaries taken by the directors which is way too high for a loss making property company. It's also not the first impropriety here. The first was when directors put lots of personal expenditure through the company, if I remember correctly. Reported in the accounts 4/5 years ago." and in Feb 2012 I suggested to avoid the shares (new thread set up specially) ---- The lesson ? imho....if a company is being badly run, or directors are receiving too much in benefits, or any 1 shareholder has more than say 20% or any 2 shareholders have more than say 35% or similar -ve factors and be aware that there is a lot of fraud on London stk mkts. Griffin, Voyager IT, SFI Group (false accounts), Regent Inns (false accounts), Photo Me, and rip off IPOs, like 90% of the floats in 1999/2000....intenti imo just stay away, or be aware of the -ve factor and only invest if aware of the -ve factor and there are some +ve factors which outweigh the -ve and keep a close watch there are plenty of companies out there, some of which have good directors and make growing profits etc !! | markt
12/11/2012 12:41 | Yes Topvest the rns makes it look like an inside job. As to Tara. He or she has gone missing without trace. | hybrasil
04/11/2012 23:03 | Its a mystery! | onlyonestorm
04/11/2012 22:56 | What happened to tara? | jimmy12345
04/11/2012 19:21 | Twists and turns to come yet i believe. | battlebus2
04/11/2012 18:54 | Oh dear what does one do; I have quite a few shares, although not worth much at 6p 0r even at 10p. I suppose mryesyes in his contribution above knows what he says about delisting. as regards battlebus earlier remarks on how they have the property assets..and a cash flow...it has been the case in recent years that the directors salaries and wotnot have been making a hole in the overall asset value every year; according to my amateur interpretation anyway. Its noticeable how fraud or similar financial crime hangs around...perhaps the biggest success of Safeland or for the shareholders (quite long ago now!) was Hercules, which eventually went down because one of group of the companies had a fraudster in it. hercules was taken over by Erinaceous, ona similar business model of a cross-selling group of property related businesses, which eventually went down because one of the group of companies had a fraudster in it. I think one lesson is not to get attached and hope past glories will be revisited..get out as soon as a slight smaell of fish is detected. After all Polly Peck was a jolly good share to own. Interesting how Asil is being really nailed. One reflects that most people don't get nailed like that. And most fraudsters, I suspect, don't do time. Who can't help wondering if race is an element- or not being a banker? | dupree
22/10/2012 17:39 | Interesting news - the auditors have resigned. Reading between the lines, and given that they have not said it isn't, it sounds like one of the directors or a family member might be involved. This is the beginning of the end! | topvest
13/10/2012 15:55 | Not great news at all should have sold the lot when you suggested Topvest, glad i'm now only holding £1300 so i can afford to stick with it and see what the outcome will be and just as i thought we were making progress. | battlebus2
13/10/2012 14:45 | Interesting announcement this week. Doesn't mention who stole the money. 13/10/2012 00:14 | This morning's news was excellent and should set an example as to how all AIM companies should treat directors pay.........as fraud and losses. | pwhite73
12/10/2012 14:56 | i'm afraid that this means that the plc will be delisted, under the rules of its listing with the size of the amount what has been lost is an asset size similar to the nav whatever the cause this effectively moves those assets outside of the company the words "if any" in the statement will be there for only one reason, that it will not be recovered for the benefit of existing holders of the to be defunct plc small property companies break up and delist under a plethora of scenarios and the thousands of small shareholders are the powerless entity, the one being disenfranchised boo hoo | mryesyes2 |
