Nav is 72.0p - surely an offer at 62.0p is too low.

Well I think that offer works for me; I will take the shares in ING Real Estate if it looks sensible. The days of this investment estate, Rugby Estates and 012 are all numbered in my opinion.

Rugby is returning capital, and has just sold its Covent Garden portfolio.

012 is controlled by Perloff and Utilico and so it is very likely that a transaction is near.

This REIT is effectively "in play" due to the large Terra Catalyst holding.

The upside on ING is that at least it returns 1p/quarter in dividends on a 50p share price.

100k gone through @ 51p. No way Laxey's offer is going through.

It would be "barking mad" to accept bid for RUGB, says chairman

Now that's a defence I like to hear!

I can't see many investors accepting what is on the table. To be honest, I would much rather hold onto these for a 4/5 year time frame, in which time I'm sure they would do very well under existing management. As is usual, short-term action takes over.

And the buyer was..... Trafalgar!

That's great news IMO, they are an activist investor and will no doubt be out to see Laxey's offer improved.

About to get interesting? 1.5m just crossed at 41.5p - i.e. above the offer price...

Offer document at 41p out. I'm not accepting, but I've bought shares in Terra recently as they seem to have cards stacked in their favour.

I would hope so. I'm surprised that Perloff sold out so low as he still made a loss on his investment in this. Anything below 50p is daylight robbery, but I can see it possibly happening. Robert Ware is Chairman of Terra and he is also the CEO of Conygar. They are getting some stellar buys!

I am assuming that all the sales just announced made by Perloff/Panther/Portnard/Maland effective October 13 totalling 10.32m shares were made to Laxey.
Our last report of Laxey's shareholding was 10.024m following a transaction disclosed on March 27 so one can only assume it was their purchase from Perloff which allowed them to get to their present 21.025m shareholding.
I am a tad more optimistic. Looking at the major shareholders as at March 23-and we have not been informed of any changes- shows that Merseyside Pensions, Rugby Estate, Invesco Perpetual, F and C and Pearl have between them 29.72% and they will want something better.

Have moved on (moved my cash from here into KEIF), but wish all RUGB holders good fortune for the future.
With Thanks to qwazi for highlighting this on the CP+ board, I've gained a nice profit - I owe you a drink or two.

looks like they have just been stolen from us - Terra have too many shares to be beat off I suspect.

Ah well, made a decent profit here if I have to suck it.

Ticking up again early doors. There's a L2 bid @ 40.5p so I expect to see further strength today.

Agree - up a tad more today.

I dare say assets are not the first target on an average retail investor's target when looking for a bargain so they may have missed this one but I feel pretty confident the buyers will show up in a shoal at some point.
