L'action RBS (RBS.LN) cède 3,8%, à 221 pence, au cours d'une séance dans l'ensemble peu favorable au secteur bancaire européen, après l'abaissement de la recommandation d'UBS sur le titre d'"achat" à "neutre". La banque suisse réduit également son objectif de cours à 250 pence, contre 310 auparavant. Elle reconnaît que les résultats du premier trimestre de RBS ont dépassé ses attentes et que toutes les divisions du groupe bancaire ont plus ou moins réalisé un bénéfice supérieur à ce qu'elle avait envisagé. Mais UBS ajoute que RBS encourt un risque important que le projet de scission de Williams & Glyn ne soit pas bouclé d'ici à la date butoir de fin 2017, ce qui constitue la raison principale de ce déclassement.
