OPEC and its allies are discussing extending by more than three months the oil production cuts that expire in March 2018, potentially prolonging them well into the second half of next year in an effort to boost prices, according to people familiar with the matter.

Conservative MPs have warned Theresa May that their support for her government’s Brexit legislation is not unconditional, as they demanded significant changes to the EU withdrawal bill within minutes of backing it.

Parliament’s post-midnight vote resulted in the prime minister facing no rebellion from within her party, as the government secured a victory of 326 to 290.

RBC Capital Markets today upgrades its investment rating on Royal Bank of Scotland Group (The) PLC (LON:RBS) to sector performer (from underperform) and raised its price target to 240p (from 210p).

Just the FTSE100 that is struggling to gain any momentum today, up only 0.37%.

Could be currency linked because the £ is stronger today.
