Germany GDP

USD 3,618.6 billion (2017, estimate)

Its exports to the UK are less than 1% of GDP. It can take the hit.

The question is can Britain?

I found this article earlier, and I suspect M Barnier might have to think again before issuing too many threats.

Well, if this negotiating position is a taste of things to come, it looks like hard brexit is nailed on.

gcom,

I'm busy following the incident at Parliament, with people mown down on Westminster Bridge, a policeman stabbed, the attacker possibly shot dead and so on. Meantime, I suggest you ask Google the meaning of Panglossian and artifice. That should clarify the position.

Fun? - be careful what you wish for. Once Brussels takes to the field, I'm expecting the Panglossian artifice in UK public life to crumble pretty darn quickly!

For the avoidance of doubt, my post was not intended to elicit sympathy. I was raised to believe that we celebrate life, not mourn its passing.

The relevance of my post yesterday, was simply to point out that we are here for a fun time not as long time.

Leeds and CFC sorry for your losses. One never knows what is around the corner so you need to enjoy it while it is there

leeds.

I am sorry to hear of your family problems, most of us have something similar.

Out little disagreements, are just that. It's not personal for me, and I don't mean it to be.

sorry Leeds My mate was in special ops and died of a heart attack...don't know the details yet and his CO hasn't got the full picture yet.... blew me away - he was only 35.

Re CFC- well fair comments but football today is full of BS...players don't care who they play for, have the power and can get managers sacked....Mourinho, Raniere and prob Wenger next! I only go now to see the lads and have a great day out!

guys lets not get back on the EU emotional stuff....just lost a special friend in the Army and had enough of fighting!
I don't believe in the EU but I do believe in nation states working with whomever they want with their own national security, laws, sovereign state.

More interested in how we get RBS to 'up their game' and return value to us poor share holders!!!
