It only seems like yesterday that the avatar leedskier and I were discussing it.

(I'll try and pull some of the posts tomorrow, if I remember.)

When I lived in Central London, Concorde used to fly down my street. Having grown up on Royal Air Force Stations and in one instance overlooking the runway, it was kind of nostalgic.

I don't know what Zac's real objections are to the airport expansion..it should make the Richmond props even more pricey.

Now Kensington and Chelski, that's a different matter...one every minute straight up the A4.

Still think it's bonkers, untold disruption for years to come.

The suggestion is that he may stand as an independent on an anti-Heathrow expansion ticket!

What is the point?

The Vote in the HoC will be overwhelming. Those outside the M25 know these Londoners do not like it up em and will therefore ensure that they get full measure.

Zac Goldsmith was a failed candidate for the post of Mayor of London, a Brexiteer but first and foremost a NIMBY on the Heathrow issue.

Some comment today suggests he is pushing the political self-destruct button to embarrass the Government, because there may be a backlash by those who think his vision of utopia (outside Europe) is their vision of dystopia, add to which some may revolt because they too are NIMBYs. Either way it could shrink the Government's majority, by one.

Conservative MP Zac Goldsmith is set to resign his seat in protest after the government finally gave the go-ahead to a third runway at Heathrow airport, a decision it has hailed as “momentousR21;.

The MP for Richmond Park, who was the party’s London mayoral candidate, said the announcement was “catastrophic” and told his local Conservative Association that he would tender his resignation and force a by-election.

Leeds, full time employment and monitor my portfolio with the odd trade here and there.

I'm only in the market for one reason; low interest rates. A bonus is l make multiples my pay rise.
