How low can gold go? I don't believe the reasons given for the hard paper sell off recently, as stocks have done the opposite on the same so called taper fear. All getting rather silly

Indeed.

Just like with PPI, the ranks of genuinely wronged people will be joined by a band of chancers and fraudsters - egged on by politicians, journos and ambulance chasers.

The politicians are happy for this to happen as, the more deeply-ingrained in the public psyche the suggestion "it was all the bankers' fault", the less likely people will realise that useless politicians are partly culpable.

.....and with all the associated hard luck stories from people who's version won't be challenged by any media.

Reading a few in the Times yesterday and got the distinct impression I was only reading one half of a story and some of the 'victims' claims didn't quite match up.

Needs addressing if a genuine issue but more drama than substance comes to mind.

No-one pays any attention to Cable; especially the market. I think, based on Friday's trading, that we finish up on Monday.
