27/5/2013 20:50 | I spent sometime this evening reading the diatribe from the party [un]faithful on the conservativehomeblog I kind of wonder where those who post live. Scotland has one Conservative MP out of 59. Wales has eight out of 42. Tyne and Wear has none out of 12. Merseyside has one out of 15. Greater Manchester has two out of 27. West Yorkshire has seven out of 22. West Midlands has seven out of 28. Greater London has twenty-eight out of 73. There are therefore just 53 Conservative MPs covering all of Scotland, Wales, the five Metropolitan County Councils and Greater London. | leedskier
27/5/2013 18:46 | The Obama administration has warned British officials that if the UK leaves Europe it will exclude itself from a US-EU trade and investment partnership potentially worth hundreds of billions of pounds a year, and that it was very unlikely that Washington would make a separate deal with Britain. The warning comes in the wake of David Cameron's visit to Washington, which was primarily intended as a joint promotion of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) with Barack Obama, which the prime minister said could bring £10bn a year to the UK alone, but which was overshadowed by a cabinet rebellion back in London. http://www.guardian. ------ Does it matter ... what will be left of Britain will be insolvent regardless, if it leaves the EU. | leedskier
