it is indicative - not rubbish. That means when large trades go through above the MNS there is no way to be 100% sure whether it is a buy or sell based on the ADVFN Trades screen alone. You need to know exactly when the trade took place - and you dont - so you have to consider other factors such as share price reaction. A large sell like that would harldy cause a big tick up.

It was a buy. Period.

Sorry but my trade screen on advfn says SELL 100,000 how can you say it was a buy??
Does this mean that the info on ADVFN is rubbish ?? if so then there must be a lot of people who are misinformed ??

advfn says nothing of the sort. the buy/sell is indicative only. You need to work out the real time from the delayed time and the price when the trade acually occurred to give an indication of buy or sell.
