26/8/2009 11:59 | Industrial Acquisition Vehicle Ltd has bought 24.5 % {announcement 6th June} and explicitly said they were trying to buy the company. IMO mbo's rarely result in a decent deal for ordinary shareholders. But I can't see how we can be looking at that situation here. Indeed if the management have held off IAV until there results then I would say that is acting correctly in our interest. The only negative being that IAV are not looking to buy for synergy but simply to pay less than the assets are worth. I think that still leaves room for a bid above the current sp, but probably not that much. | colonel a
26/8/2009 11:27 | Cannot see why they would be distributing the cash if it were to be a buyout ... Compelling case to buy/hold..... £4m - Market cap - 6p/share £3m - Cash (30/6/09) 1p/share - special interim dividend (4/09/09) £4m - Loan valued at zero in accounts - producing £400k p/a cash receipts Breakeven - Profit before tax and exceptionals for six months - from loss of £.7m 38% - increased order book in Life sciences vs same time last year, £.5m - possible profit attributable to above increase based on sales/gross profit figures. Takeover - talks ongoing | leapinn
26/8/2009 09:18 | Well my money was on an MBO but now I'm not so sure. There was earlier talk of 7p per share but the market price already seems to have factored in at least that.Buyers holding until Sept 4 are guaranteed 1p special divi whatever happens,Anyone got any views? | addict

25/8/2009 11:37 | Yes,and there are substantial capital losses they've been trying to utilise.Let's hope any bid reflects fair value, all things considered.DYOR | addict
25/8/2009 11:30 | Potentially an additional £4m odd here not accounted for....... altogether very conservative. we will continue to hold the loan notes at a zero book value against a contractual value of GBP4.3m. | leapinn
25/8/2009 11:20 | Unfortunately I have been a long term holder and seen a significant drop in value. However I am surprised that the S/P remains so low. I hope the potential bid is a good one. With £3 million in the bank, this would immediately knock £3 million off the acquisition price. Although this is probably the reason for the special dividend of 1p there are indications that the positive cash flow will quickly replenish the cash. Also the results statements are very bullish. Order book up in the worst recession since the 1930s. In robotics, the potential must be unlimited. | droong

25/8/2009 08:49 | yes - 20% special divi, cash approx equal Market cap, convertible loan still producing revenue, bid possibly on the table..... All good....... | leapinn

07/8/2009 13:56 | My worry is that the results will be manipulated as much as possible to look bad to allow the "acquisition vehicle" (MBO?) to get it on the cheap as "trading is difficult" etc etc. | gingerplant
