The acquirers are dragging their heels on this one-hoping for share price to drift lower?

Couldn't find any info on the web of our potentially tie up partner either... Wanted to see if they had a track record of doing deals like this and what their cash position was!

A cash offer of anything close to 4.8p would be viewed as laughable. There are several key drivers which will affect the level at which the prospective bid will be pitched, including recovery prospects of the loan notes now fully provided for, possible utilisation of the brought forward losses, cash balances held within the group and trading prospects.Institutional holders will no doubt have done their homework...

The company have 4.53p cash per share coupled with a NAV per share of 6.11p. It would have to be at a substantial premium of the cash per share to entice the board no? Wouldn't make sense any other way....?

Outstanding news it would seem!! A floor of 4.8p... let's hope more light is shed at the AGM...

Interesting announcement, looks like game on for the cash takeover offer, you wouldn't buy such a large stake if you weren't going to bid..

Answering my own question but it is owned by Investindustrial, a European private equity player...

On balance I would suggest they are a seller, nice easy chunk for the bidder...

the management?????

haha another 1 of treacle/kirstie shares that shoots up after it sells out. i might have to start buying shares after theyve been pumped and dumped by that character. guess its a bit of karma, saying that pumping and dumping doesnt work because after you sell out and move on they more often than not rise considerably. then appear the posts as if he still holds, like this one

"Kirstie79 - 14 May'09 - 21:04 - 1171 of 1174

Hit my target of 6p this morning...100% easy profit on good research."

^^^^^^^ the words of a burnt pump and dumper lol!!!

congratulations all long term holders!

No suggestions, but it's interesting that there are no signs of selling by major holders, which I read as positive. The net cash in the balance sheet must be attractive in this market.I'm in for a few.DYOR

industrial or a financial related asset stripper..or the management??

I would expect this to quietly tick higher, still go for the 8-9p likely bid level..

LOL !

The above is the post of a bitter well known pump and dumper who
always sells too early and misses out on a good gain !

Never mind treacle/K79, you will learn or forever have no money
if you keep trading shares this way :-))
