Well I think the statement released today is pretty unambigous but my only worry is that there are certain bodies who sit on both RVD ad TMP boards. What will that presuppose to new and old investors alike?

Statement re. Press Comment (River Diamonds)

RNS Number : 3131B
River Diamonds PLC
14 August 2008

14 August 2008 AIM: RVD

River Diamonds Plc

("River Diamonds" or "the Company")

Statement regarding Press Article

River Diamonds notes the article published in the Evening Standard newspaper on 13 August
2008 ('the article').

The Company can confirm that there is no claim at all against River Diamonds in the court
and that the Company is not facing any legal
claim for any sum as the article misleadingly reported.

As far as the Company is aware, the dispute referred to in the article is between two
shareholders of the Company (Viso Gero Global Inc.
and Templar Minerals Ltd.) and has no impact on the Company's or its operations at the
Vatukoula gold mine.

Will be going to aGM...its well known that it is not a cheap mine as its deep I ahave always thought costs per oz are circe $450 to 500 and so if your producing 100,000 you are still hitting $45m to $50m a year profit

Anyone know about production costs yet? Or is going to AGM and could ask?

Added more at 1.6p seems to be a forced seller.........can you honestly see these at 1.5p in a few months when they are producing 100,000 oz of gold and shelling off US$50m a year I think not............

exactly - be interesting to see how they look into " alleged actions by VGG or persons acting on behalf of VGG, which may affect the agreed purchase price."

who can blame them for not wanting to pay 6p ! any mm's working for VGG ? lol

tmp could also get the same amount of shares for a third of the agreed price, which is now looking likely and with russians now stopping the war in goerga.tmp looks very atractive.

added 1.65p

So what if TMP cant aford to pay VGG for their additional shares at 6p?
So what if TMP's Georgian assets are risky?

Whats the worse that can happen to RVD?

The worse I can think is that VGG demands payment from TMP and if they can not pay they will have to liquidate the company and VGG will again be a key shareholder and then it will be up to VGG to sell their shares in the market or to RVD at a lower price or to another strategic holder or to wait until the mine is further down the line?

I am patient the mine is worth equivalent of 6p a share what ever the fun and games in the background.....time to help yourselves again if you can hold?

Anyone else got any worse scenario's ? I can not see any claim on RVD by VGG and I bet the two beig swingers come to an agreement anyway?

Templar Minerals Limited
("Templar" or the "Company")

Update - Viso Gero Global Inc

Templar Minerals (AIM: TMP), advises that further to its announcement of 13 June 2008 that it had not yet completed payment to Viso Gero Global Inc. ("VGG") for the purchase of a further 143,290,000 ordinary shares in River Diamonds Plc ("River Diamonds"), the Company wishes to advise that the status quo remains.

The Company is taking legal advice on the terms of the agreement between itself and VGG and simultaneously carrying out a legal and accounting investigation into alleged actions by VGG or persons acting on behalf of VGG which may affect the agreed purchase price.

Pending the result of those investigations the purchase price has been withheld.

If necessary the results of the ongoing investigation will be put before an appropriate court for determination.

Templar will advise of any changes to the situation when information becomes available.

Perhaps they thought that the share price was going to be a lot higher in RVD and the purchase would be self financing through the sale of some of their existing RVD shares? Or maybe they had a source of finance lined up but due to the credit crunch that has now been withdrawn? IMHO

droftarts - i disagree - as I posted on the TMP thread in terms of this RVD / VGG thing surely tmp would have had a route to pay GBP 8,597,400 in cash in March to VGG otherwise they wouldn't have gone into that type of agreement so why haven't they now ?
