I have an account with CMC markets and get live prices with that. Now 30.16 - 30.21 and why RIO here has retreated to £22.86 in last 30 minutes or so .

picking up a little in USA and RIO here following it with the usual 15p or so discount. But a bit tentative and hoping the dow will get back to top form soon . .

well the NFP are due this Friday. the trend has been higher for the nfp . if there are well above the expectations rate hike come back in to the consideration. that may push rio possibly 21. 50 if at all it hold there.

Squeeze is on this morning triggering stops but news from China is positive.

Chinese steel mills are being required to turn to higher grade iron ore to meet environmental standards so miners like RIO & Vale will benefit from higher iron ore prices.

we have seen this pattern so many times before.
it looks like £20 or below by the Autumn.
depends in part on the strength of the $, but these companies are struggling to make money.
Cost cutting can only go so far.

morning christh- ok thanks and hope you are well . RIO struggling today and am tempted to buy for a day trade but now dependant on how RIO performs in USA - no sign of pickup yet but hoping !
