“The Capricorn sapphire mine is an exciting opportunity. We look forward to supplying gemstone buyers with consistent quantities of certificated blue and 'fancy' stones,” commented CEO Bernard Olivier.

This is not the pilot Plant so new investors don't get confused, This is a purpose built alluvial Sapphire processing plant.

The purpose-built alluvial processing plant is one of the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, capable of treating up to 200 loose cubic metres (LCM) per hour

The potential of this share in mind boggling. 5m in the bank, no debt, no liabilities, and a working mine of 108m carats (JORC) with refurbished modern plant that has a past history of:

The size and quality of stones produced from Nardoo is also significant for Richland. In addition to high levels of sapphire recovered greater than 4.1 millimetres and greater than 5.5 millimetres in size, a number of "special" gemstones (those over about 10 carats in weight) have also been produced from Nardoo. Sapphires in this size range carry a significant premium to the smaller sapphires. "Special" gemstones produced during the 11 months of previous mining included a 63 carat dark blue sapphire, 41 carat yellow/green/blue fancy-colour sapphire, 33 carat yellow green sapphire, 31 carat blue sapphire, 20 carat green sapphire (see figure 2) The market for fancy colour sapphire is increasing and these gemstones attract significant interest.

All the colours of the spectrum would be lovely. Of all the shares over all the 30 years I have been trying to win, I honestly believe RLD has the potential to make me very rich..... And I am invested in REM ...... So my preference for RLD is significant. Could easily be £1 upwards before the end of the year, paying a div. in the STRONGEST terms. B U Y !

Plant runs 200 loose cubic metres Per hour which equates to 260 tonnes per hour which with are 20 C/Ts per tonne JORC Resource Calcs 260 tonnes per Hour = 5200 C/Ts per hour 12 hour shift 3120 tonnes per 12 hour shift = 62,400 C/Ts per day 5 day working week = 312,000 C/Ts per week Monthly production on a 12 hour 5 day working week = 1.248 million C/Ts

Colins would be best placed to comment on the following based on his knowledge and experience in the industry. Gemval site claims to monitor sale prices achieved for gems over time. The site provides histograms of proportion of sales by value of sale. hxxp://www.gemval.com/occurrence.php?id=44 and hxxp://www.gemval.com/occurrence.php?id=48. Interestingly 25.23% of recorded sapphire sales were over $1k compared to only 11.79% of Tanzanite sales. The result of this is that if you crudely estimate average prices based on data on the graphs (using bin mid values and $1m for bin of $1m+) the average retail price paid for Sapphires sold is about 2x greater at $41,051 compared to $21,510 for Tanzanites. Of course actual average sale prices for bins may well be closer to lower boundary than mid point and these figures would then overestimate actual average prices achieved. As suggested in an earlier post ( I think by bigdaddyian) the graphs suggest a small proportion of large stones may contribute substantially to turnover. For both gems the vast bulk of turnover based on Gemval graph data came from stones selling at $100,000 to $1m (S64.4% and T51.1%) and $10,000 to $100,000 (S27.2% T24.5%). Of course this doesn't factor in the proportion of cts mined of either stone that were not of high enough quality or size to sell. Anyone any idea what proportion of the cts of Sapphires vs Tanzanites mined are of sufficient quality to be saleable? RLD's hoped for production levels/year for Sapphire of initially 8m going to 12.5m will be way in excess of the approximately 3m odd cts a year of Tanzanite they used to mine a year; although if my memory serves me right I think the JORC resource estimates for both the old Tanzanite mine and Nardoo are in same ball park.

Super coverage of RLD over on the L board. On this years expected revenue the share should be sitting @11p. Drastically undervalued.
