21/2/2017 09:52 | So FWIW I've just called advfn and asked them specifically about this. How come precinct's post with 6 votes for and 1 against gets into the top posts list while barkboo's post 20 minutes later on the same thread with 15 for and 1 against doesn't. The immediate reaction from advfn was that it must be a glitch in the system, but they will pass it on to the technical team to have a look at. The person I asked said it was unlikely to be anything to do with ip addresses because most people had dynamic ip addresses anyway and he didn't think the advfn system would do any checks on ip addresses, at least for "top posts" purposes. If I get anything different or more definitive I will post it up. | 1gw
21/2/2017 09:14 | Pinky Pants - "I'm sure advfn can explain." in much the same way as ADVFN explained to John John.....Barkboo has only the one nom de plume. Why you rags no listen? | barkboo
21/2/2017 08:54 | You're missing the point, football. How does a post outscore all other current posts, yet not appear in the top posts listings? Could it be that several of those votes were identified as coming from the same IP address? I'm sure advfn can explain. | precinct14
21/2/2017 07:44 | Footy - I just get to have the one vote, but I use it wisely. Off piste - HSBC could see some fun today....what goes round, comes round. | barkboo
20/2/2017 20:19 | We know hotpants is watching this thread like a hawk! Every minute of every day! What a loser! | geheimnis2
20/2/2017 19:53 | Hahaha great post barky! | geheimnis2
20/2/2017 18:54 | Loaf, you'd assume that RhythmOne should be able to fill its owned and operated supply. Then the question is why they are not being able to fill those in which they have first look. | stocky
20/2/2017 16:23 | Where does a 1% fill rate on 8 Billion requests at $2.50 get us? | loafofbread
20/2/2017 15:20 | Barky - leave me out of your "fake news" posts and your sad vote scams ... don't talk about how great an investor you are when you are sitting on a £1.3 million plus drawdown on Blinkx ... not a great example, are you?£2.40 is what you need to recover your drawdown ... and that's why you fixate on that number isn't it? | alex1621
20/2/2017 14:09 | Revenue High for Teads; Rubicon Project Provide Platform for SoundCloud | sikhthetech
20/2/2017 13:58 | Good post, 1gw! With regards to the 3 metrics mentioned, price will increase due to the addition of the new ad formats.IMO the main variable to work on is the fill rate. However, should this not sort itself out once all DSPs and adkarma are integrated and fully operational? | stocky
20/2/2017 12:31 | Programmatic revenue is a function of reach, fill rate and price isn't it? Quantcast and ComScore give an insight into reach. You wouldn't expect any direct correlation between reach and revenue when fill rate and price are so volatile, but it is one of the 3 key factors isn't it? If R1 ever gets to some sort of "steady state" operation where fill rate and price are less volatile then reach would become correspondingly more significant as an indicator of revenue. But in the meantime I would have thought it is maybe worth talking about a bit. If R1 can maintain decent US reach especially, then it has given itself the platform from which to try to improve the other 2 factors (i.e. fill rate and price). I haven't seen much discussion on this board or the others of data that supports a discussion on price or fill rate, so reach seems to be one of the main things affecting revenue for which there is some data to discuss. | 1gw
20/2/2017 10:41 | jw, exactly... there is no proven correlation between rankings and revenue. In terms of Header Bidding, the point is when it was adopted. The earlier adopters, Pubmatic, have done really well, the late ones, Rubicon Project, have not. | sikhthetech
20/2/2017 09:45 | I suppose it would be worth talking about if the management went back on their previous statement that rankings currently have no correlation to increased revenues. | jwoolley
20/2/2017 08:55 | BARKBOO what some people can't get there head around here is that a 100 to 150 people read these MB's everyday but less than 1% post here and it doesn't stop them from voting posts up or down just because they are not posting but only reading them i also remember someone saying blues only have one ID so i'm all right now then | football
20/2/2017 08:50 | I hope we see a lift in our comscore ranking to No 3 aka Quantcast? | loafofbread
20/2/2017 08:21 | Johnny Boy - ADVFN have told you I only have the one ID....I notice you no longer single me out with having multiple ID's....you just accuse the gang now, in the hopes that readers will include me. BARKBOO - has only the one name as you know - ADVFN rags have many! | barkboo
20/2/2017 07:59 | good week coming up or just the same old 37.25 one and the next 37.75p hoping for a end to it very soon gla | football
19/2/2017 23:28 | Precinct, yes, the 14 votes up for Barky's post... The gang and their multiple ids agreeing with Barky.. I wonder which gang member voted your post down... BARKBOO 17 Feb '17 - 13:34 - 4894 of 4919 14 1 | sikhthetech
19/2/2017 20:22 | Lol! Now she has gone back and re edited the post into a variety of childish alternatives?! Wtf?! Enjoy your Sunday evening, hotpants! Lol.... xx | geheimnis2
19/2/2017 20:10 | ^ 4 minutes. Been hanging around here since Friday night for me to post. What a life she leads! | precinct14 |
