euclid,

I think I have this the right way round, but RHEP/Zeus was trying to farmout Metis (on the envoi.co.uk site), and part of the deal they were offering a stake in Thunderball.

euclid,

I had a quick squint at LOGP, thought that Barryroe and Helvick could both come good (I like oilys with old discoveries that flowed). Problem is we are talking at least two years down the line from now before they produce, then there is the finance to consider to get to that stage. I think PVR will be a good farm in partner. Net recoverable is over 12 million barrels to LOGP, not to be sneezed at and Helvick will produce 1000bopd for them when it starts. Low market cap though, but justified I think for now. ( All is only my opinion, so you may want to research them deeper if you are thinking of investing there - I could be wrong!), I will put them on my watch list. Sorry for off topic everyone, but thought it OK as this is not the busiest of boards, (yet!!) :)

Still tempting to top up at this mrktcap though with them starting to get noticed like they are. Going to make it difficult for them to come off too much I'd have thought esp with brent still doing so well?

I could like this share. I really could, if I didn't think that Omnitrix is just ramping robson.

Ithaca Energy Drilling Final Athena Development Well As Part Of Busy US$120 Million Capex Programme

The Athena oilfield development has seen its fair share of oil price highs and lows over the past two decades. Now, with the final development well on the North Sea drilling ahead, the once marginal oilfield is making good progress towards first oil in Q4 2011. Given the current oil price is north of US$115 a barrel and showing no signs of softening as unrest continues to spread through the oil producing nations of North Africa and the Middle East, the Athena project partners could have a very profitable asset on their hands – which just shows that sometimes timing is everything in this industry.

PMG market cap £135m but no assets

RHEP market cap £30m with a producing asset due to come online and provide $80m p.a. revenue and could fund exploration/appraisal of existing licences but also any other new projects the management team bring in

Hi Bobby

have you seen Logp - recent broker note out yesterday - they have 20% wi in the barryroe field 7 Pvr is the operator - another appriasal field

euclid, indeed they may decide on Moby next; I happen to think Thunderball might be a better bet, only at this stage because of the information regarding flowrates and the Buzzard upside, but no matter - the important points are that we have a good choice for appraisal drilling all of which we have 90% pre farm down, and it is looking like we will have a nice cashflow starting later this year to help orchestrate proceedings.

Thanks forthat info BobbyS - it seems so far from what I can read the Moby field i the safer bet at 100% cos & Flipper at 40% cos

the 16/8c Moby may add if oil is ok once tested add another 4 mmbboe to their already Athena field of 2m

see below link for the 14/17 block

euclid5 - the 13/16b field is of little or no interest at the moment. That is exploration and the company will almost certainly try to appraise the discoveries first. The interims give more of a flavour for the priorities in my view.

Rhu,

Well at least you are honest enough to say you were de-ramping. At the end of the day we are all here to make money and I hope you get your entry price. Also I will be buying more too. :)

Good luck, whatever you decide.

I'm not generally very good at it though. If I don't think something's worth buying I won't post on its thread. I think this one could be worth buying now but 14p looked to be the bottom of the rising channel.

You're right, I am just de-ramping... for every penny I can save at these levels I can get a lot more shares for my money. Well, for the wife's money, actually. :)

We could get an rns at any time outlining the future plans for these discovery wells and their other licences so like you eric I think I would rather be in at this stage than out - even if I might have paid over the odds. If the share price goes up I'm winning, if it goes down I can add. The belief in the company is key at these levels.

You shouldn't respect rhu imo bobby he's just deramping. Try posting "I'll buy at £1.80" on his xel thread and he'll have you on the ignore list before you've had chance to go decimal.

Rhu, do you think it is worth buying/not buying over 1p at these levels? Either one believes in the company or not; 1p could be insignificant by the end of this year. Just my opinion of course, but at the same time I respect your own personal judgement.

Will I get 14p, Jamesie? I'll buy at 14p, so we'll see.
