08/5/2013 10:29 | Sounds better than noises from one or two other insurers recently. Should be trading nearer similar ratings to them which would be around 400p+, but rises usually take several steps. I reckon today's news will lead us up to the 300p area after a few slight upgrades. | aleman
08/5/2013 07:21 | Cracking-should see a new year high today. We hope! | nigelmoat
08/5/2013 07:09 | Sounds fairly upbeat to me:- Andy Briggs, Group Chief Executive said: "The Group has continued to make good operational progress during the first quarter of 2013 achieving record value of new business written at a lower cash cost with further delivery of targeted cost savings. This performance has been led by the UK division with strong growth in the Retirement Income and Protection businesses with Corporate Benefits in line with our expectations. I am pleased with the progress made with the implementation of our International strategic review. Lombard and the core FPI business have had good starts to the year and we have made excellent progress exiting our non-core markets. The underlying trends in our chosen markets are encouraging and our strategy is delivering results. We remain optimistic about the opportunities for profitable and cash generative growth going forwards." Not much hint of worry or dividend cutting in there. | cwa1

02/5/2013 08:07 | IMS due next Wed (8th). A strong performance from L&G augurs well for RSL's UK business. "GROUP PROTECTION SALES UP 67% TO £20M (Q1 2012: £12M) · RECORD Q1 WORKPLACE PENSION SALES UP 115% TO £202M (Q1 2012: £94M)" | scburbs

18/4/2013 15:29 | Perhaps I should have waited until Monday. | relwood
18/4/2013 13:27 | Just had my last top up at 250. With luck the yield should be held for the forseeable. If it is then that should be good enough. Fingers crossed and all that :-) | cwa1
18/4/2013 12:58 | I've topped up as well. I know the dividend looks set to be frozen for a while but 8.4% is a very tempting yield. | aleman
18/4/2013 12:16 | I bought more today. | relwood
18/4/2013 12:13 | Now is the time to buy using the dividend payment. ShareTrade have a system and it works well. | anley
18/4/2013 09:14 | The price was marked down yesterday morning by 14p because it was ex dividend day. Quite a few shareholders don't this so they panic and sell assuming there is something wrong with the share and with the market sentiment the price was down 21p. Normally the share price moves back up to the original price before ev divi day quite quickly but with the state of the maket at the moment it could take a bit longer than anticipated. | kendo10
18/4/2013 08:48 | A c.10p effective fall certainly feels fairly steep if not quite cliff like. So everyone, why has this tumbled down a hill? | scburbs
18/4/2013 08:37 | What, even with the explanatory post just one above it? Surely not? Yeah, OK, it is a surprise! | cwa1
17/4/2013 17:48 | Oh come on, somebody please post "WOW, why has this fallen off of cliff today?". You can usually rely on some numbskull,,, or two. | osirisra
