They are supposed to be good at keeping moths and spiders out of your house. Not sure how, maybe you throw the conkers at them. I wouldn`t like it if someone threw a conker at me so could be some truth in it.

Don't coconuts float? So, another way they could help if, despite everything The Sloshing starts to overcome you, is to use them to construct a raft and survive The Sloshing that way. And you have a ready supply of nurishment to hand when The Sloshing subsides.

Possibly a secret weapon in the fight against 'The Sloshing'? When sloshing is suspected place coconut on ground. If it stays where it is you are not on a hill and so need to move to higher ground immediately! If coconut rolls away from you, you are already on a hill and so should stay where you are.

Also, coconuts make handy weapons: just hurl at the heads of any locals coming after your Spam stash.

Nice. But it's also not flat...a common confusion with the fens..true no mountains but try cycling it...when the sloshing resumes I have my hill reserved
