14/10/2013 08:14 | It would seem to me, even just to save face, it would be in both Energees & A1s interest to get the share price above the offer price. It would be very easy to achieve by A1, just buy shares in the market place. With so few shares in PI hands any concerted effort to buy more shares would push the price up dramatically. | j drama
14/10/2013 08:04 | J Drama Excellent work, thank you very much for your help! I was thought the price given by Pope –when bought- was even much more, but after your calculation , i am convinced why Pope no sells their amount of 25.659m shares. So , the prices Pope or A1 paid to buy their shares , are much more than 38p and we have the hope to sell our shares not in the current price anymore... but between 40-50p plus , per share, IMO. | buy and hold
14/10/2013 02:08 | Curzon is even more interesting. I don't know if you remember but the Curzon holding started out with Ventura who are run by the same people & therefore a related party. Ventura bought 17.391m shares at 53p disclosed as occurring on 08/09/11. On the 22/09/11 Alpha Bank (ie A1) disclosed a holding of 31.8m shares, the price the day before was 40.75p but was around 30p for 3 of the previous 4 weeks. On the 18/10/11 Ventura disclosed an addition of 34m shares taking them to 51.939m (16.2%),the price at the time was 31p. Estimated average cost based on the day before price 38.6p. Alpha never disclosed the sale of their holding. Coincidence? I don't think so, Ventura were holding for A1 IMO. On the 02/12/11 Ventura's holding was completely transferred to Curzon. On 11/12/12 Curzon announced they had bought Investohills & Platforma holdings 39.929m shares at the time the share price was 24p. That would give Curzon an estimated average cost of 32.2p assuming a nil mark up between Ventura & Curzon. During Sept 2013 sold 78.338m shares to A1. The balance of their holding 13.5m shares works out at an average cost of 38.6p, ie the transferred average price from Ventura. If you broke down the Ventura original holding the 13.5m shares actually came from their first purchase at 53p! So basically whichever way you look at it Curzon are deeply underwater to the tune of either an average of around 38.5p or 53p, no wonder they didn't sell out completely to Alpha. A1 assuming Ventura / Curzon were acting on their behalf would have paid approx. 31p per share. The disclosed significant holdings are sitting on estimated losses of: Pope -65.7% - average 43.74p Curzon -61.1% - average 38.6p A1 -51.8% - average 31.1p (maybe on low side) Energees 60.5%- offer price 38p It makes me feel a bit better about my average being just above 40p if nothing else! | j drama
14/10/2013 01:59 | BUY & HOLD I had a bit of time at the weekend so I decided to go through the RNS holdings from the last few years to try & estimate the average price paid by Pope for their current holding. It works out at approximately 43.75p per share, which is not surprising considering they didn't accept the 38p offer for all their shares. Principally it is made up of the following: First disclosure 08/12/08 11.0167m estimated price 33p (price day before) 16/06/09 5.0715m 63.75p (price day before, share price varied between 28p-78p between dates). 01/07/09 5.2m 61p (placement) 14/12/10 2.9164m 26p (price day before, during takeover period) 15/03/11-27/02/13 1.4194m 30p (amount added between disclosures going through whole %, range during month before 29.5p-31.5p) 28/02/13 0.035m 31p (price day before). Total 25.659m at average 43.74p Basically just over 40% of their holding they bought in the 60p's. | j drama
12/10/2013 08:57 | JKX should have first fracced well results in Ukraine very soon. Work started in July, carried out by Schlumberger. Could RPT have been waiting for Schlumberger to finish at JKX before starting its fraccing well? Could we get a decent price rise if JKX are successful? | j drama
12/10/2013 08:45 | Chevron given go ahead to develop shale gas in Ukraine. hxxp://economics.uni There is a Smart quote about RPT but on the translation it isn't clear what it's saying. So that's Shell, Chevron & JKX all fraccing for Shale gas in the Ukraine. | j drama
07/10/2013 22:07 | Pope still hold their 8% as far as I'm aware. | j drama
07/10/2013 15:57 | jd Excellent observation! to continue after you ,how many pence per share had given Pope for their 8%? | buy and hold
07/10/2013 13:43 | Re the recent Curzon sale to A1 Curzon bought the last 12% (taking them to 28%) from Investorhils & Platforma on the 10th Dec 2012 at which time the share price was 24p. As they were likely acting as a proxy for A1, the first articles re the A1 investment emerged very soon afterwards, it would make sense that A1 have paid around that price for at least if not all the stake they bought from Curzon. Anyone have any thoughts? | j drama
02/10/2013 12:44 | Not that I'm aware of, hopefully they are getting some external experts in to do it or maybe that's where A1 come in? If they are that may explain the delay so far. | j drama
02/10/2013 10:35 | JD Do we know when the proposed Well SV-53 hydraulic fracturing program is starting As the rns "to undergo" is very vague. | jam2day
02/10/2013 09:54 | I'm hoping an A1 representative gets elected to the BOD in charge operations, that way we may have a change of fortune on the production front. | j drama
30/9/2013 05:53 | Spec You have right. It remains to be confirmed by A1. | buy and hold
28/9/2013 07:42 | Why some holders they sell their shares in this very low price? They know something? After A1 getting 24% plus ,only an increasing of price has to be happened? Or they leave because they wait something bad? | buy and hold
27/9/2013 00:46 | Well that makes it official, now let's see what happens next. A1 gets a seat on the board? | j drama
26/9/2013 16:29 | A little bit more thank that Vivgas. Curzon Holdings have sold 55million shares to CTF Holdings. What do you make of that? | madjock2
