31/3/2017 08:22 | and additional Gen 2 machines, which will ship to Africa shortly. | iglenn
31/3/2017 08:19 | Robert, wait and see what's in Halifax, has to be a big unit. Planning and sales process for large scale units isn't the fastest, should soon start to roll in though. | dogrunner11
31/3/2017 08:17 | Cheek, Where does it say two more 'en route' to Africa? Not sure why the update was needed, unless they felt the Jabil Livingston facility closing was causing the drop in share price There is nothing new there and these further deliveries, I view as the market seeding phase for GEN 2 units, they are certainly not going to set the revenue stream alight. I think this has a way to go yet before we see the volumes some were expecting. | troutisout
31/3/2017 08:17 | The big time is NOW redT's business manufacturing strategy has always been and continues to be that mass production of redT machines would take place away from the Livingston facility, at other Jabil plants, following the conclusion of the Gen1 market seeding phase, which is now complete. (from press release this morning) | netcurtains
31/3/2017 08:17 | Maybe many emails sent asking questions, who knows. Clears up seeding scheme and does that mean they are now looking at manufacturing around globe for Gen2? Certainly sounds that way. "redT's business manufacturing strategy has always been and continues to be that mass production of redT machines would take place away from the Livingston facility, at other Jabil plants, following the conclusion of the Gen1 market seeding phase, which is now complete." | dogrunner11
31/3/2017 08:15 | great news. Mass production soon! | netcurtains
31/3/2017 08:15 | Amazed that this RNS is being read as good news. Still no news of significant sales. | bookwormrobert
31/3/2017 08:09 | Pug. I don't think so. Scott doesn't appear to be the sort to release news for the sake of it which is a good trait. I note any news release from Redt concerns material actions already undertaken as opposed to jam tomorrow. Which has been frustrating for the recent past but hopefully the tap will start dripping more in the coming months. | iglenn
31/3/2017 08:04 | Livingston prototypes and small runs. Mass production at lowest cost sites. | fieldhouse
31/3/2017 07:57 | Could it be that Scott realised that given the continuing fall in share price and some of the comments on this board a reassuring statement was needed ? | pugugly
31/3/2017 07:42 | I can't understand why the information in the announcement this morning was provided as an "RNS Non-Regulatory" Perhaps the Company needs to liaise with ite Advisors on the selection of such an avenue, i.e. "Non-Regulatory" RedT Energy PLC Manufacturing Update 31/03/2017 7:10am RNS Non-Regulatory TIDMRED RedT Energy PLC 31 March 2017 31 March 2017 redT energy plc ("redT" or the "Company") Manufacturing update | tullynessle
31/3/2017 07:39 | I also note that Scott advises that for the remainder of the year Livingstone will manufacture small volume production runs. This suggests to me that Scott has needed to discuss this with Jabil and ascertain what units are able to build small volume and arguably high volume production runs. I hope I'm not reading too much into this comment but clearly they are expecting large volumes otherwise why have the conversation. | cheek212
31/3/2017 07:35 | Re Post 417 Excellent that concerns emanating from the closure of the Jabil Plant in Livingston have been addressed and that strategy and manufacturing strategy with Jabil has been re-affirmed. Extract: "redT holds a global manufacturing service agreement (MSA) with Jabil, which is not tied to any specific location. As such, the MSA remains unchanged and the Company continues, as planned, to work with Jabil to optimise the lowest cost manufacture of different components of its energy storage machines by utilising Jabil's 90+ manufacturing plants across the world. This provides redT with a significant competitive advantage in the market. For the reminder of this year, manufacturing of small volume production runs and new product prototypes will continue to take place within the UK." | tullynessle
31/3/2017 07:30 | Additional to Post 417 Positive news in the RNS this morning. Interesting to identify the number of Gen 2 machines being sent to Africa shortly, as well as their proposed location(s), - ".....and additional Gen 2 machines, which will ship to Africa shortly." | tullynessle
31/3/2017 07:27 | 31 March 2017 redT energy plc ("redT" or the "Company") Manufacturing update redT energy plc (AIM:RED), the energy storage technology company, is pleased to announce that today, a Gen 2 energy storage machine is being delivered to its customer, University of Strathclyde. The 5kW, 20kWh liquid energy storage machine will be used alongside the grid and connected renewables as part of a joint project between the University and Gaia Wind at a site in Glasgow, Scotland and will be used to demonstrate the commercial case for storage in the UK for Gaia Wind's customers. redT also notes that its manufacturing partner Jabil Circuit Inc (NYSE:JBL) will be closing its Livingston manufacturing plant. The Company wishes to make it clear that Jabil's recent announcement does not have a material effect on the redT business and the fulfilment of orders. The Company's production schedule remains on track with the delivery of this machine to University of Strathclyde and additional Gen 2 machines, which will ship to Africa shortly. redT's business manufacturing strategy has always been and continues to be that mass production of redT machines would take place away from the Livingston facility, at other Jabil plants, following the conclusion of the Gen1 market seeding phase, which is now complete. redT holds a global manufacturing service agreement (MSA) with Jabil, which is not tied to any specific location. For the reminder of this year, manufacturing of small volume production runs and new product prototypes will continue to take place within the UK. redT will also continue to grow its own Livingston operational centre, having built a strong engineering and operations team since opening the office in 2015. The downturn of the oil and gas sector in Scotland has provided redT with access to highly skilled labour pool and the Company is looking forward to further expanding its Scottish presence as a result.
