Did munters post any pictures of his trip to Gigha?? His story today is just a much bolstered version of his story the evening before his trip to Gigha so has he any photos to show that he visited the batteries? My understanding of the purpose of the batteries is to store the energy from wind in order to feed into the grid when required - the grid doesn't always need energy and therefore windmills are switched off and not earning money, With the batteries, this energy is stored and fed in when needed thus a money earner for the bankrupt people of Gigha. It was never about powering the couple of houses etc on the island.

dlg3 - does Munters' update on the Gigha situation tie in with what your understanding was about the problem?

vatnabrekk REDT will be paid for the project even if they are not installed, they will be installed and I do know what the delay is !!! but the fact of the matter is that REDT have tested the storage machines at PNDC and passed with flying colours......

Hopefully Jabil have got the remaining storage machines hooked up at livingston......

Judging by a poster here a couple of weeks ago, there may well be a bit of Nimbyism over in Gigha holding things up. We were also promised an rns when the remaining units were shipped there, there could be a delay in that. Getting a connection to the grid could also be a possibility where there's a delay too. There are lots of possibilities. I'm not sure this one project affects the longer term prospects, there are demo plants out there for prospective customers to see anyhow.

They started recruiting sales force after the fund raising. It's really too early to expect them to be taking orders en mass yet. The nature of aim companies, especially without decent bb support, is a binary condition, either drift without official news, or step up a big percentage when there is official news.

vat, agree up to a point.
Gigha was the flagship project for camco as it was then.Had ,i think from memory £1.6 million price tag.A lot of money with no outcome.!!
I do think the project has been dogged by problems with the partners and the financial
problems of the Gigha community project.
At least the storage machines passed the PDNC testing and received the G59 certificate.
Africa is the market that Scott sees the most immediate prospects from with rapid pay back for the diesel genset replacements.
A lot going on and i am sure the prospect of excellent orders.

I think there is too much weight being put on the Gigha situation. It certainly seems that there have been delays, but very unlikely that the delay is due to REDT or the battery system. And anyway, the Gigha system is a very small part of the REDT potential market, and it is very likely that there are other much bigger opportunities being discussed right now.

netcurtains.

A few frustrated holders have sold because of delays that you ridiculed.!!!!
I hope that the delays will be no more than six months but could possibly be longer.
Gigha is way behind.

dlg,

Gen 2 v Gen 3.
Scott has said that they are working on Gen 3.
If i was a potential customer i would like to know was progress was being made and would want the latest technology if i am investing for 25 years.I would at least want a free upgrade to Gen 3. Gen 2 and Gen 3 are already in the pipeline ,any further progress is in the future. Potential customers will want the best deal possible. Negotiations will take time .

redT are doing things in a slow constructive manner and i have no problem with their strategy.Frustrating ? Yes,but get the deals correct and have happy customers.
The last thing we want is a rush just to keep impatient investor quiet.

I'm with you on EMH, Jamonit.
REDT are on critical support of 10p, I'll only be back in if they go under 9p. Otherwise it's a slow slide until sales news I fear, which is months away IMHO.

ianous the question Scott is asked is How many people do you have working for you ???? because I am sure if they needed to manufacture 1000 storage machines a week, it will take a lot more than 50 people, as I take it Scott is saying because Jabil are manufacturing for us we do not have to employ the people that jabil are employing.. he would not know how many people it took to employ x ammout of storage machines...plus jabil will be keeping Scott up to steam on how the manufacturing process is coming along....they will be telling him how much they have invested and what they are doing for REDT and saying you have to get a move on with sales...
