13/12/2016 01:13 | Sometimes the placing shares are effectively sold well in advance of the placing as soon as the allocation is known. Looking at the price movement I'd say many of the placing shares have been shorted, with the shorts settled on issue. | pierre oreilly
12/12/2016 18:31 | Bobby, I will contact Scott for more clarity tomorrow and correspond accordingly. Chas | backdoorbill
12/12/2016 16:55 | Surely the recent places will have a conditional lock-in period, such as 12 months? | bobby.ifa
12/12/2016 16:34 | the Sp doing what I thought it would, we do not know if the intis... will flip the shares..they may have clients lined up for them... it would be an easy way to get a large chunk of the company at the moment.. | dlg3
12/12/2016 15:39 | jam, liquid air storage is cack and a no hoper, it's at best 25% efficient. Pumped storage is 80% for comparison, but there's no decent topography left in england and wales, and in any case, it's very expensive for just storage (Dinorwig for example pays or itself by supplying primary/secondary reserve for grid stability purposes and not just storing cheap stuff and selling at expensive times). | pierre oreilly
12/12/2016 15:29 | Water up hills to dams, flywheels, this sort of thing and, roll of drums , Vanadium, it all helps.Like the further rises. | alchemy
12/12/2016 13:58 | The culprits here are the BoD who misled PIs into thinking that a placing was unlikely until next year chicken01. Evidently there was a telephone conversation to that effect, according to others earlier posts. After such a large placing I do not think another one will arrive any time soon,so present holders can now relax a bit imo. I still think though that this present placing will see the share price fall to around 8p but in the long run 8p or 9p will seem ok prices. I am not in yet but this share looks far better now that the 100k sells have an explanation, imo. | 12bn
12/12/2016 13:37 | Parsons4...you make a very valid point, for one month the share price slipped away, no bad news just a slow retrace. Coupled to the fact that RED were, by all accounts, fully funded through 2017...I smell a rat!!!. Its obvious that there were a lot of people who knew the placing was imminent!. This should be investigated for sure. I am still in, level at 9p, where I started 6 months ago, so all to hope for, but can this happen again?. If I see it falling again, ill be out pronto. | chicken01
12/12/2016 12:41 | I partly agree 12bn but the MMs are quite happy to have the current price as placees can get out with a very small profit and more to the point, having earned a nice commission for doing nothing. I would love the FSA to investigate all large sales over the last month or so to see how many of those sellers were privy to the placing, which of course is illegal !!! But this is the way it works, nothing we can do !! I just pity all those people who first got involved at 12p upwards. The story is now better than ever as funding is no longer a question. Remember the price rose to 17p so a value now approaching 14p is still justified in the near term IMHO. | parsons4
12/12/2016 12:08 | I don't see why it would take long to recruit 38 staff? A few months max IMO. If they can front-run half a dozen staff to start setting up the sales dept then that would help. I would hope the company would be in full-on sales mode by late Q2. But as you say Alchemy they should still be able to take modest orders even now. All it takes is confirmation from Jabil that they have the capacity to get manufacture underway. | cyberbub
12/12/2016 11:49 | Cenkos said they saw most uplift as a result of new funds in 2018. Takes time to recruit they say. This has to be a sandbag surely? They can always take the biggest "order of the day" with current folk. | alchemy
12/12/2016 11:15 | Anyone know if the placing shares have any conditions on minimum holding periods? | pierre oreilly
12/12/2016 11:12 | Nice to see the share price up again today so far but ridiculously difficult to tell what is actually happening with the buys v sells given the huge number of delayed trades coming through! | cheek212
12/12/2016 08:55 | Agreed, a one-off fundraiser before a critical part of the company's growth has now passed. IC buy-tip the next day, no downside I can see, onwards and upwards. This could be the last time we see 8p forever. Still a good few trading days before the end of 2016, I see 10p by the New Year. 2017 is going to be the year for RED. | swiss tony
12/12/2016 08:17 | I agree that it's impressive that they managed to raise so much. Pre-revenue AIM companies rarely manage to raise more than a few mill in my experience. | cyberbub
11/12/2016 15:48 | Loobrush, I, as an investor, would much rather see redt looking forward and acting, rather than sitting on their hands and watch the market overtake them. The fund raiser has certainly come as a shock to most and such a large one, would only suggest how focused and determined they are in making this a successful, serious contender. What`s done is done and will be forgotten in the ensuing days. Chas | backdoorbill
11/12/2016 08:13 | I saw the recent fall as a opportunity to obtain the number of shares I think would be prudent to hold.It is getting easier to pick up large number of shares now the price has moved above the recent lows.Im hoping this is as low as it goes but we shall see.Safe trading all | ch1ck
10/12/2016 14:42 | Flushed away. Mercedes aren't developing new models? | alchemy
10/12/2016 14:07 | REDT Should be renamed to DEADT as they invent yet another model. | loobrush
10/12/2016 13:42 | Hi chaps, yes, as you've posted that's as I understand it. And yes, it'll need orders to start justifying this M.cap. RED are still mostly at a seeding/trials/feedb As prices start to come down from the circa $450/Kwh then uptake will accelerate. Even so, I do understand they are an economic option especially where diesel gen. is used. Market size in renewables makes for a playing field for all though. Not doubting Vanadium and RED has a future, just think it's still early days. The funding probably was a necessary move. shame the CEO was clear in previous messages that they were funded. Just makes for a trust issue on other statements IMV. Regards | owenski
10/12/2016 13:29 | Ok maybe a bit categoric there, but they are in my view an early production company. And that production is outsourced to an established manufacturer. I agree orders are everything. Upgrade rate from Pipeline to Qualifies prospects to orders to invoicing is key. Invoicing implies delivery.Development R and D of course. But no longer a solely R and D company. On lithium, I think Tesla may suffer the fate of a pioneer. Charging for cars has an upcoming standard of which they are not part. Mind you ev roof tiles, wonderful. I hope he , they , make it in some green area. Lithium for vehicles, Vanadium for static application. That's how it looks in my eyes for the moment. | alchemy
10/12/2016 13:19 | Ah I meant in the correspondence after the article, apologies. | alchemy
10/12/2016 13:01 | owenski, They are an ongoing R&D company. This is a new industry and redT are there at the beginning. They have completed testing of the seeding units and have found them suitable for mass marketing as Gen2 units.6000 sales enquiries received. 2000 with prospects.!! Gen3 and Gen4 are in the future development .A hybrid vanadium/lithium battery is under development which should provide further advancements. The company is in fast forward mode and Scott has not ruled out further fund raising in the future. However they have sufficient cash for the immediate future as detailed in their fund raising documents. I would suggest that you read up on the redT website. It is very informative. | fieldhouse |
