I expect another large trade (buy) again at EOD. Price is being manipulated by mm's in-order to fill. Sells are mostly small in trade size (relatively speaking.

Potential for REDS great here.

Milton Keynes is one of the fastest growing cities in the UK and a great economic success story. However, the challenge of supporting sustainable growth without exceeding the capacity of the infrastructure, and whilst meeting key carbon reduction targets, is a major one.

Joining forces with The Open University, Connected Digital Economy Catapult, Future Cities Catapult, and other partners, Milton Keynes Council formed a Smart City collaboration – MK: Smart – to rise to those challenges. They will build a city-wide, open access network for Machine to Machine (M2M) communications and the IoT. The technology is being supplied and managed by BT and Neul Ltd. Working with Milton Keynes Council, they will install a network of Weightless base stations to provide coverage across the city for low power, connected sensors – the first of its kind in the UK.

Central to the project is the creation of the ‘MK Data Hub’ which will support the acquisition and management of the vast amounts of data relevant to city systems, such as local and national open data repositories; data streams from both key infrastructure networks (energy, transport, water) and other relevant sensor networks (eg, weather and pollution data); satellite data; data crowdsourced from social media or through specialised apps; and others.

As well as being used to develop solutions for better managing supply and demand across the city’s transport, water and energy supplies, the data hub will also support business growth – creating opportunities for local enterprises to develop new products and services by using and adding value to the data.

Among the smart city projects is a pilot launched to manage the use of short-term parking spaces at Milton Keynes railway station. Designed by specialist technology provider Deteq working with BT, it involved installing sensors in each of the parking bays. Bonded to the tarmac, they’re powered by lithium-ion batteries with an over four-year lifespan.

Detecting the arrival and departure of a vehicle, the sensors send information wirelessly to lamppost mounted solar-powered repeaters. These aggregate the data and transmit it over the internet to the MK Data Hub. There it’s processed and the resulting analysis made available on the Milton Keynes Council public information dashboard, as well as via a browser that displays bay status as red (occupied) or green (free) via an overlay to Google maps.

Brian Matthews, head of transport at Milton Keynes transport: “As well as giving real time data on parking availability the sensors are providing us with valuable information about average parking duration. We can use that to adjust parking restrictions to meet majority customer needs.” For example, the sensors revealed that an average stay in the station drop-off zone is 16 minutes, enabling the Council to adjust the wait limit upwards to 20 minutes. In future the system could also be used to aid parking enforcement.”

Milton Keynes is in the thick of smart city revolution, great profile for REDS.

Milton Keynes will once again join the top table at an international conference on smart cities and how technology can make lives better – this time in Shanghai’s famous Expo Centre.

Milton Keynes Council Leader Pete Marland and Director of Strategy Geoff Snelson will join delegates from around the world at the Huawei Connect 2016 conference at the end of the month [August].

The council is a key member of the MK:Smart consortium, led by The Open University and supported by BT, which is developing innovative solutions to support economic growth in Milton Keynes.

The Council’s presence at the conference is being funded by Huawei itself, which is drawing together experts from leading UK and world cities for the event.

Huawei is one of the world’s leading ICT specialist companies, which strengthened the MK:Smart team when it became an official partner in August 2015.

Cllr Marland said: “Milton Keynes is at the forefront of cutting edge technology and all round smart thinking and we were pleased to be invited to sit at the ‘world table’.

“I’m looking forward to speaking with our contemporaries and peers from organisations involved in pioneering new technologies, and to discuss how this can benefit Milton Keynes, and how we can help them.”

In recent years Milton Keynes has been represented at similar key events both within Europe and again in China, which have helped the city establish itself as a global centre for technology innovation.

Geoff Snelson added: “Milton Keynes’ smart cities credentials are enviable – driverless pods, electric buses, the internet of things, to name but a few – and there is much more to come. The recent MK Futures 2050 highlighted the importance of building on this success to ensure our economy remains competitive over the long-term in these new industrial sectors.”

Alan Fletcher, Business Development Manager at The Open University’s Knowledge Media Institute, will continue to raise MK:Smart’s profile in China by addressing government officials and executives from around that world at the Smart City InFocus 2016 conference in Yinchuan in September.

I cannot say im technically sick, but saying that im mentally sane would be misleading.

I am merely psycologically unstable.

Not sure if it makes sense.

Problem is watching paint dry drives me INSANE.
