I used to be in R4E and had high hopes of a turnaround given that they had refinanced the debt and the business was growing, so was surprised by the RNS earlier in the year announcing that they needed to refinance again.

Pretty much a binary play now on them getting the refinancing sorted. If they do it will 4 bag. If they don’t its probably game over.

The other option would be to sell one of the businesses, but I guess only Spot Co would be of any interest or generate the kind of bid that would get R4E out of the hole they are in

Yea it is a good sign that we have been able to make all the required payments to date to the bank. Good 'account conduct' will help the negotiations and therefore hopefully find a positive solution for all parties.

I'll say one thing - these guys are resilient.

Profits (pre-goodwill charge) were probably better than expected. Cash generated from operations was almost £2.5m although tax took a much bigger chunk. also paid out a chunk to previous SpotCo owners. And there is £1m plus interest due this year and the year after that.

However no real comment on trading so far this year which sounds as though it might be an ok performance. Looking at the costs the biggest chunk is for marketing activities which is c2/3 of all costs. Salaries are relatively small and fell. Pushing up margins will need to attack this cost.

At these levels the shares look very cheap (whilst they can remain inside their covenants) but all depends on the bank discussions as they won't be generating sizeable cash for another 2 years . . .

"subsequent to year end, the first repayment of £0.2m has been paid in April 2015"

" The Company has, to date, made all the required repayments under the existing bank facility agreement and is not in breach of the financial covenants in the agreement"

2015 will be another year of development and progress

2014 clearly benefitted from some exceptional one-off revenue events in SpotCo which are unlikely to be repeated in 2015. That said, the actions we have taken across the group to focus the business on its core activities, and correspondingly reduce the cost base in line with our operating activities, have helped to both build on this profitability in the US, and reduce the impact of the declining performance in the 2014 UK theatre market.

Looking ahead, the Directors of r4e remain hopeful of a satisfactory resolution on discussions with AIB and that this will enable the Company to build a much stronger financial position which will allow the Group to expand, leveraging off the core competencies of the businesses. We anticipate another year of development and progress as we look to maintain our market leading positions in London and New York, whilst investing in and expanding new digital capacities and related markets.

On 7 February and 11 May 2015, the Company announced that the Directors of r4e are in discussions with the Company's bank with regards to a restructuring of the Company's bank loan or to replace it altogether. Whilst there can be no guarantee that these discussions will be successful or that an agreement will be reached with the Company's bank, the Directors of r4e remain hopeful that a satisfactory resolution will be achieved.
