Posted at 09/5/2018 08:44 by igbertsponk Buyback price always set much higher than the share price to make it an effective dividend that everyone elects for. They've had to adjust the buyback price upwards in the past when the share price has caught up between declaration and closing date. |
Posted at 30/4/2018 16:59 by m4rtinu MRF - As I understand it, RUS are offering to buy 1 in 17 in the tender offer/ "div" at 52p and there is the option to sell more up to one's total holding, depending on what other holders opt to sell. Is this a gift of 7p from here (less costs) or am I being dim? Thanks in advance for your view on this. MU |
Posted at 29/3/2018 07:27 by gfrae A technical question.. can anyone tell me whether the the "dividend" or distribution by way of a buyback of 1 in 17 shares counts as income or capital for tax purposes ?I would have thought that it was subject to CGT but the company call it a dividend. |
Posted at 12/3/2018 08:05 by catsick Was just going to say results look decent and may be worth getting back into the rus again as now just hold rusp and rusc but seems to have already popped ! |
Posted at 12/1/2018 15:59 by m4rtinu I am hoping the FIFA World Cup will have a positive influence on RUS. |

Posted at 07/4/2017 12:33 by catsick Ok im out of the rus and to be honest amazed that I could sell them so easily .... good luck to those who still hold but for me the reality is that we are in a new space and not a good one for russian assets |
Posted at 07/4/2017 07:43 by catsick I have been selling down my holdings of rus , been a nice ride from 30p but the situation with the us neocons baying for blood in the middle east and anti russia hysteria is just getting too much, still hold the cb and a few rusp for now but its been a nice ride and time to lighten up a little .... |
Posted at 14/3/2017 13:29 by catsick Interesting that we have a very small decline to the year end in market values, mainly I think down to the rents on new leasing being lower and ruble denominated but stable, I would hope to see over the next 3 years occupancy up to 90 pct plus and cap rates drop to 7-8 pct in line with ruble rates and inflation falling to the 5-7 pct Range Interesting the residential market has turned around faster , etalon also reported yesterday open market values on their portfolio of apartments in moscow and st petersburg with values up 33pct year on year according to JLL valuationsI think the logistics sector will be slower to turn but it is happening, long term I think rusc represents the best value of the listed rus securities |
Posted at 16/2/2017 23:47 by elrico I'm no TA expert, but I see the current 52 week high gaining steady momentum, especially as RUS is not known as a trader's stock, so IMHO it has a solid investor base, based on fundamentals.Russian economic outlook helps of course. It continued to show signs of stabilisation in Q3, supporting hopes for a return to growth in 2017. Demand & supply conditions in the Moscow warehouse market appear to be improving with new build falling away....hence the strategic investment in the area by RUS. |
