08/11/2016 11:47 | I thought that idea was too simplistic ..lol My main reason for investing in lithium is not really for EV application as the reasons are given above in your comments ,a cheap high energy density battery is really needed for 300+ miles range ,and even then it does not give us the flexibility of petrol and diesel. My reason for investing in lithium is for the household/grid energy storage systems e.g. Powerwall and the new ideas coming on stream like the roof tiles with incorporated solar pv cells. | cyfalafwr | |

REM holds a 17.64% economic interest in the project (increasing to 20.84% following the Annual General Meeting of EMH to approve a further investment by REM, as previously announced) through its direct equity stake in European Metals Holdings Limited ("EMH"). 08/11/2016 10:36 | Cyf...this was a proposal put out by an early developer, can't remember who, but the big issue is getting everyone to agree a standard, and that won't happen, look at mobile phone batteries or power tool batteries, different sizes, voltages, fittings and worst of all different chargers. 08/11/2016 10:26 | From what I can understand, the batteries are leased for a monthly sum. After a certain period they have to be replaced, as they do by all accounts, wear out. So, although the idea of swapping batteries sounds good, I feel that unless the monthly rental is removed I can't see me going for a full electric car anytime soon, as my petrol car costs me very little as I do negligible mileage per annum. In the end, an electric car has to be cheaper and just as efficient as my petrol car or what's the point?. As to lithium mining etc. I can't see a great surge in demand until my logical argument above is solved. My opinion only, anyone?. | chicken01 | |

The smell of fresh materials, fresh paint, etc. Everything just works... untill you pull up to the first "gas" ststion to recharge or actually swap batteries. You drive out with 10 year old battery from previous vehicle owner that left it a few hours ago. Nah.... It is like leaving brand new clothes to wash for the furdt time and receiving the same model clothes wornout to the seams... Thanks, but no thanks. | rwauu | |
08/11/2016 08:35 | Is it only me that takes this simplistic common sense approach to the range for EV's.If all manufacturers had the exact same type of battery in their cars that were easily removed and replaced then instead of petrol stations have battery stations.When your car's batteries have nearly lost their charge ,drive in to a battery station remove them and fit fully charged ones ,the ones taken are recharged for the next cars that come in and so on.A bit like taking your empty calor gas cylinder to an outlet and leaving with another full cylinder of gas. 08/11/2016 01:35 | Temmujin changed his notes because there is only one strategy with these ahares- buy as low as you can and sell higher when ramping wave comes back. unfortunately there is one but- ramping waves get smaller and smaller. Used to be 1.8 waves, then 1.2, the latest just 0.97. I believe the next wave will take just up to 0.6. shares are too diluted, not that many BB morons to mop up the shares at highest prices. Well in such case you will see crushing bottom. forget 0.3-0.4. I believe fair price for regular "fixer uppers" will be 0.01 or lower. Yep, it is coming. It aims to develop vehicles that can run more than 300km on a single charge. The new plans mark a switch for Toyota, which believed that the high cost of batteries and limited driving range would prevent electric vehicles from going mainstream.
