The 'idiot' CEO has overseen a near tripling of the shareprice in the last 3 years. Very few shareholders are really getting the short end of the stick here and none of the long termers.

Always a risk of this sort of thing when you invest in a company virtually under the control of just one individual.

The bidder will need to get 90% so that under company law he can make a compulsory purchase of the other 10%. Very unusal for a bidding company to want to get less than 100%.

hasnt the share price been manipulated by the CEO so he can sell (or other devious plans) the company for cheaper. Maybe a phone call to the FSA might be in order.

Does this idiot CEO only need 51% to agree to this or does he need the 75% of the total share issue?

I'm also very disappointed, and 20p seems very low, I would expect this approach to attract other bidders especially VCs as this is a very cash generative business. Also don't forget that there is some £4.2 million of cash on the balance sheet as at 31 October which in my opinion will be stripped out and will be in addition to the 20p thus an extra 2.5p could be paid out.

washbrook, sounds like he just wants out. Difficult to realise his holding in any other way.

A bid at 20p with Armstrong holding 68% puzzles me?

AGA must be the likely candidate

What a lucky guy I am, this was my favourite share in my portfolio, I bought in at 14 to 15p and decided to take out all my profits this week I sold the last yesterday.
I was rather sad about it, I have been investing for over 40 years and experience has tought me never fall in love with a share.
Markets are tough and the present one is harder to spot a bargain, even more than the downturn in 1990 and 1981.

Share price has continued to rise.
Chart shows that it has gone thru upper resistance level without looking overbought.
