Only caveat to that, S, is that the shares are highly priced, PER about 26 forwards and backwards, so I reckon news is needed and their offer of 'free 'till 2016' will dent profitability in favour of increased market.

Anybody know when the next news is due - I can't find a date.

I have a small initial holding, and like you I was impressed with the management.

Hi folks, just to say I have opened a position in Quartix, (QTX) researched over the weekend. Interest was prompted by an excellent Shares Mag feature on the telematics sector (also covered TRAK).

In case followers, or others looking in, are unaware: there are two video presentations and one interview accessible on the QTX website. I found them compelling.

The growth and plans in France and USA I thought were particularly exciting.

Hopefully, one to tuck away for the long term. The Slater PEG is 1.3, so the price might be up with events, unless forecasts are behind the curve. However, I liked the story too much to ignore. Managing director, Andy Walters, comes across well.

None of the videos seem to talk about the way that the data generated feeds into the accounting department. It seems to me that developing software that automates accounts is the key difference between QTX and any old spy-in-the-cab company.
Or have I got this wrong?
Back to highly-priced so no opportunity for me to increase :-(

Following my initial holding I have been through the presentations, videos, case-studies, etc. and am impressed. However, I still have concerns about competition and barriers to entry. Had a look at Trakm8 after H's comment (above) and was unimpressed with their website. I know RAC have a product that is not at all impressive.
Keeping adding financial functionality to the software is e they can keep a lead impressive and I guess that iff they can keep an edge
Anybody else looked more deeply at the competition?

The rating is high. Interestingly Trakm8 it's smaller competitor is faster growing and yet on a lower rating.

Seems to have got ahead of itself, earnings need to play catch-up with the mkt cap or the mkt cap needs to come down to a better earnings multiple.

Interim Results out today - and they look very good so yesterdays hike must have been in anticipation of the good results

They say they are in line with expectations but the client numbers they quote suggest they are being somewhat conservative in their guidance.

It moves on very low volumes, which is either a very good or very bad thing! Shares seem to be in short supply!
