Contracts for what ?

We have contracts....keep up.

We just want more!

'Today, such sustainable fuels come at a higher cost than fossil-based fuels. To become competitive with fossil fuels, the production of sustainable fuels will need to be matured, built at industrial scale, and go through a cost-out journey similar to what has been seen over the past decade in other renewable energy technologies, such as offshore wind, onshore wind and solar PV. As an example, the cost of offshore wind has declined by approx 70% in Northwest Europe since 2012. For this to happen, governments and industry must come together to create a framework that incentivises private investments in large-scale sustainable fuel production. '

Unfortunately hazl, commercial volume, does not necessarily mean for money. See your dictionary. And without contracts it definitely means nothing. Bit like before I guess

'Shipping’s future fuels path will take time and investment

I find this interesting .
This is a state of the art purpose bult ship, for the antarctic, The RRS David Attenborough.
It eventually, after some searching, turns out their fuel is a low sulpher fuel, but read it for yourself.
I think that efficiency and alternative energies, are difficult to crack.

In October 2020 the technical sea trials and scientific equipment testing began and the ship was handed over to NERC and BAS by shipbuilder Cammell Laird on 27 November 2020. This multidisciplinary research platform will transform how ship-borne science is conducted in the polar regions and provide scientists with state-of-the-art facilities to research the oceans, seafloor, ice and atmosphere.

The new polar ship was commissioned by NERC, built by Cammell Laird for operation by British Antarctic Survey. The commissioning of the RRS Sir David Attenborough is part of a major Government investment in polar infrastructure which will keep Britain at the forefront of world-leading research in Antarctica and the Arctic. This £200m commitment represents the UK Government‘s largest investment in polar science since the 1980s.

'phased commercial development agreement'

phased, as in forever phases ?
commercial, as in large amounts of chemical volume ?

ie nothing ? again.

Why I think we have a superior product.

Statements like this....

'What we know: The UK is a maritime leader in the
green ammonia supply chain, with an internationally
competitive advantage from being an early adopter,
but efficiency improvements are insufficient.'

Look at that last line!

We have first mover advantage...and our products are improving all the time... since MSAR MSC are now onto BioMSAR with it's improved efficiency.

Again look at the reference above...ammonia doesn't seem a sensible choice...what a reactive aagent!
Also methane cited as an alternative has now been shown to have it's problems see earlier post.

Quadrise has announced a phased commercial development agreement with energy services company Valkor Technologies to commercialise Quadrise’s MSAR and bioMSAR technology at Valkor’s projects in Utah. The agreement provides a framework for the potential delivery of the first commercial revenues from bioMSAR/MSAR in calendar (CY) Q322 and for multiple deployments of the technology within Utah longer term.

Valkor is involved in multiple tar sands projects in Utah. It has a stake in TomCo Energy, the parent company of Greenfield Energy, which is drilling three exploratory wells at its Tar Sands II site in the Uinta Basin in Utah.

Quadrise Fuels International plc (LON:QFI) is the global innovator and licensor of disruptive heavy oil technology that produces MSARĀ® fuel. The Quadrise team is a unique combination of energy sector experts and fuel specialists that were instrumental in the prior commercialisation of 60 million tons.

So if were to pour raw left over heavy oil sludge into the local duck pond, are you saying it would be greener if I threw in some glycerol as well ? Just wondering what is best for the ducks?

So, out of interest, what is bottom of the heavy oil barrel toxic sludge "greener than" ? Is there really something worse than that ? Oh just itself mixed with something ?

'It is rare that a company has technology that can help lower potential clients’ carbon footprint whilst
also reducing their costs.
Quadrise's synthetic fuels, MSAR and bioMSAR, are manufactured by mixing heavy residual oils with specialist chemicals and water. These emulsified fuels are cheaper and greener than conventional heavy fuel oil. bioMSAR uses glycerine, which is biodegradable and 40% renewable, in addition to water and specialist chemicals. The resulting emulsion lowers carbon dioxide emissions by 25%.'

Shore capital.
