PZC is one of the few multinational consumer products companies with reasonably strong brands and a market cap of around £1bn (find me another and I'll invest there too!) - so there is lots of room for growth (have a look at RB's market cap) and the potential for a bigger company to take it out.

Agree Eastbourne and I also bought into these a few weeks ago. This isn't a company which is going to regularly make you 30%-50% in a year however they have strong brands, been in existence for decades, increased the dividend even in downturns and operate in very defensive markets. Therefore as a low risk investment which should grow at over GDP rates due to emerging market positions, supplemented by a reasonable and reliable dividend, its a steady bet

Questor often tell you to sell after a share has tanked, seems a pretty pointless entity to me (Questor), that Ficenic chap often appears totally clueless.

I bought these a few weeks ago around the £2.70 mark and will be holding medium / long term.

I think the fall was overdone as trading seems OK on a constant currency basis and the Nigeria situation has been ongoing for years, I thought all of this was pretty well flagged hence why I can't really understand the fall. The problem is the markets at the moment, any update that isn't fantastic seems to be the prelude to a hefty share price fall.

Worth noting that the price today is about the lowest it's been in 6 / 7 years.

Well if Questor says Sell. Then I will be buying some more.
They can't even get their Geography right. Australia is in Oceania and not Asia.

Can partly understand the drop, however the defensiveness of the sector and long-term track record of the company should mean that if/when the economy eventually does turn south (which it obviously will do at some point) then PZC shouldn't drop anywhere near as much as most companies. People wont stop buying soap.

I hold in my SIPP and LTBH part of my ISA as a buy and forget about company. 42 years of dividend increases gives a lot of comfort.
