21/6/2016 13:28 | Presumably a court delay. Perhaps requested to discuss a settlement? Who knows. Bit tedious though. Hopefully they are operationally breakeven now though... | zcaprd7
21/6/2016 12:28 | Seriously! Just how long do they plan to stretch this out for. I am quite well in the money right now but really not sure I want to wait another 6 months for a resolution. I have been following wafer prices and they have shown no real improvement over the last 6 months so the next set of results are still going to show a loss. I am annoyed that they have given no reason for the 6 month delay either | salpara111
27/5/2016 11:54 | Looks like the French thing is done and dusted, projects need to be completed by December 2017, and must use low carbon footprint kit (ie not from China):The Group's wafer customers are in Taiwan, which has the largest cell manufacturing base outside China, and in Europe where a few companies have survived the shakeout in recent years. Our wafers are particularly valued for use in modules for the French PV market where incentives in the form of higher feed in tariffs are offered when two out of the three parts of the manufacturing process (wafer/cell/module) are carried out in the EU. In December 2015 the French government announced the results of its CR3 tender which will replace the current scheme and awarded 800MW of PV projects which must be completed within a two year period. The carbon footprint of the complete module is a critically important factor for these projects. Accordingly, the Group expects to maintain its competitive position as the low carbon footprint of our wafers is more favourable than product from competitors based in China and Taiwan. | zcaprd7
26/5/2016 12:11 | I'm intrigued by the French government stance, didn't realise crystalox were last man standing... Makes more sense why it was mentioned in their releases now...Anyone know the schedule for bidding? | zcaprd7
26/5/2016 03:37 | I'd suggest perhaps... "market improves - continue operations profitably" - although since they've reduced production capacity it would be unlikely to yield the former impressive profits. Still a lot of gains from these prices though. and maybe... "market improves - Sell to a larger player". They're still a niche player in a relatively long production chain. Other more integrated producers may be able to see a brighter picture and offer a premium to us going it alone. When PVCS floated it operated a significant amount of the worlds poly-Silicon production & wafering capacity (around 25-30% IIRC)... as the world PV demand has increased (approximately doubling every year), larger (and integrated) players have entered (mainly in China, and operating at a government funded loss), but we're now relatively just a VERY small coin. If China pulls (or is forced to pull) the supply of never-ending credit then there may be some more substantial profit margins right through the PV supply chain - unless higher prices dampen demand. Need to ask the question do you believe the world is starting to get hooked on Solar PV in the same way as it is on oil? ..or are there other PV technologies that will enjoy the benefits of this? | steve73
25/5/2016 16:48 | Good spot. Any guess for the other scenarios? | zcaprd7
25/5/2016 05:13 | this one isn't.. well.... the first bit isn't anyway.. | steve73

23/5/2016 10:57 | Hi Steve 73, July is the date of the arbitration hearing, but I think there won't' be a verdict for some time afterwards. | cjohn
22/5/2016 13:21 | Do you have a link to profdocs blog? Thanks. | zcaprd7
22/5/2016 12:20 | I sold my holding this week, it has been a nice run but set for a bit of profit taking I expect. | duncan doughnut

20/5/2016 12:25 | Steve, I thought there was quite a lot of positive things said by the directors at the AGM. Glen | profdoc
20/5/2016 11:07 | Well isn't the positive that there is no bad news | the stigologist

19/5/2016 15:16 | The bid price has followed up as well, some volume... | zcaprd7
19/5/2016 14:52 | Charts don't ramp they just demonstrate what is going on. A bit like 'a picture speaks a thousand words'. In this case it boils down to after a strong move the overbought technical indicators have evened out and the MACD cross and bounce off 50 day MA suggests room for another move higher. | the stigologist
19/5/2016 14:35 | Unusual for Stigo to be ramping, not sure if that's good or bad:) AGM this afternoon. | paleje
19/5/2016 13:43 | Chart related move Can see 20p before next litigation update | the stigologist
