Shares magazine, Investors Chronicles and other published recommendations are mostly - paid recommendations- and statistically are better advises to sell and not to buy- recommendation BUY - Sell it - IMHO .
And Denc did do his job brilliantly, too and sold his sole and betrayed people who were believing him and did trust his "knowledge" - let him judge himself - I can judge only myself ....

I remember this as a tip in Shares magazine in 2003. What a ride, shame it's on the brink.

"The lady that came down staires to see me (there was no one at the reception desk) said that the AGM would be in March."

That's all the rights you've got mate. You can go to shareholder meetings, and you can vote. That's it.

I was nr there headquarters last week
So I thought I would call In and pick up a broucher on there products.
There are no brouchers to be had , I said I was a share holder.
I can't say I was made welcome.

What rights do we have as share holders does any one know ?
Can we turn up and ask for information ?

Huge premesis for such a loss making company.

Afternoon All,

This might be of interest:

Different target market to healthcare obviously (food/brewing). I would hope that NDX/NNL are also verifying the unit's efficacy in nuclear decon settings.

IOTS DYOR

PS The difference in efficacy of the different disinfectants is also interesting, seems to indicate that Hydrogen Peroxide on its own exhibits a significantly lower kill factor than either salvox or peractic acid, I noticed that the Glosair system (J&J Healthcare) also includes dissolved silver in its chemistry, presumably to increase kill.

there was talk of a joint venture/license/ distributor agreement whatever with J and J for the hospital thing

it is way superior to the competition as the cycle times etc above show

some sales would be nice

ADVFN Just updated finacial - Market cap some £8M - If PDX now to be regarded as as a hygine company valuation still far too high (imo) for unproven technology -

I have been unable to locate any definative data on gross margins and projected "adminstrative expenses"

Very much (imo) for gamblers only - WHY GAMBLE !!!

I believe the only time you can sell something to the NHS, that they already have, is at the end of the financial year when they have to get rid of all their (our) money. Have to be quick then PDX.... ;o)

Thanks LC,

This:

Would seem to bear out your point, and indicates that perhaps J&J's solution is not the great bargain that is being touted (certainly not as seen in the USA at least):

"What ASP did not consider was the labor and costs that would go into implementing this technology in a hospital. For a hospital to adopt the Glosair system of cleaning a crew would need to seal off all air vents leading in or out of the room as well as seal all the cracks around the doors. Any fabric material including mattresses, sheets, curtains, seat cushions, and towels would need to be removed, and the room would need to be unoccupied for an hour and a half."

It would appear that J&J are exploiting the propensity for the NHS management to behave rather like lemmings, this would indeed be a pity when there are UK companies with a more inherently efficient and certainly far less 'disruptive' proposition.

IOTS DYOR

P.S. Why would a hospital need 12 Glosair 400 machines?

Simple - because that's how many you need to effectively treat a single ward!

In that context the M800 suddenly doesn't seem quite as unwieldy.

maca1212 Good post. 150 units is a drop in the ocean. Nottingham University Hospital alone accounts for 12 of them ! Mulligut...I understand Glosair equipment requires approx 5-6 hours to clean a room...PDX have claimed a treatment turnaround time of 45 minutes. This is the real saving. PDX uses a compressor to fill surface areas faster and with smaller droplet sizes, and avoids the non line of site room preparation issues (lifting mattresses, removing window blinds, opening furniture doors, etc,.

I also think PDX could improve the aesthetics of its equipment. If it wanted to reduce weight, at perhaps the cost of another 15 minutes operation time,I believe, it could move to a much lighter and cheaper compressor.
PDX needs to make sales right now. I am convinced the technology is the best...but who said life was fair ?

Licken Chicken. I don't believe that anyone who has been in for the long haul doubts the validity of much of the claims on the technology. That said this company has tried every route to market you can imagine and now they are competing in a market that undoubtedly is dominated by the likes of Johnson & Johnson. Unless they are so far ahead of the game on a unique benefit they are simply barking up that wrong tree again. How do they compete in a market where J&J are operating with a "Me Too" product?

Having read through much of my comments it appears that I am more negative than positive. The fact is I am frustrated in a company, like you where I lost money, that has been running around like a headless chicken for so long and certainly not facing up to some real world issues such as generating sales to cover overhead, let alone making any sort of return on what has been pumped into the patents.

Mulligut ... PDX have a difficult recovery ahead. It is obvious from the lack of announcements that no material contracts have been signed in recent months. However, you might want to read the website decontamination case study again. Achieving a Log 4 kill rate ,which increases to Log 7 over the course of a treatment is very creditable. You may find the link below helps put these results into context.

Whether, or not health authorities, have the resources/gumption to invest in this technology is another matter.
Johnson & Johnson (Glosair)

and Bioquell Plc, certainly believe there is a market. I have been badly burned in this share... I am waiting for one of the majors to license the technology at a bargain price....call it wishful thinking :)

Hippo. Barking mad more like it. One question. What's the point? Seriously there is no emergency anti contamination requirement that is high on the NHS Trust waiting to order one unit for each hospital. No claims of "Kills 99% of all known germs" just that it reduced to sufficient levels. We are experiencing austerity in this country and it is about cut backs, not capital expenditures free for all. How many needed to cover cost of development? How many needed to cover Sales, General and Administration for this line of business. Where is the growth coming from? Another Line Of Business( LOB) or Load Of Bull?

to be honest, they are barking up the wrong tree, I expect without exception hospital cleaning is outsourced to the likes of Rentokil etc, and as the product seems to have no USP and seems to be as mobile as a tank, can't see those sort of companies rushing to change existing equipment.

Can't believe the BOD have given no update in terms of the actual business (and where it went wrong) for 18 months - I expect the next bit of news to be "we are currently carrying out a strategic review".
