16/3/2017 13:29 | some of the posters here are spinning this company better than a world class cricketer.... you have to wonder if they are from Purplebricks' PR company | trytotakeiteasy
16/3/2017 09:38 | If I were a Director there, I would be delighted to crystallise a good chunk and be financially safe for life, however much I believed in the long term potential. It is interesting that Institutions over-subscribed at 220 a few weeks back, and appear to have been happy to hoover up more at 300p without needing a discount. | simso
16/3/2017 09:31 | outrageous in my view. Directors appear to be using this as a grand pump and dump scheme. Never really a good sign if they dump shares like this. | trytotakeiteasy
16/3/2017 09:22 | yeah that's hardly surprising, these guys have become millionaires in the past few weeks. might as well get out now while it's good. | lampran
16/3/2017 08:27 | Well there's a surprise, NOT! Could well be another holding rns later. ;-0 | bamboo2
16/3/2017 07:53 | 300p placing price, so only a marginal discount to where it has traded this week. | simso
16/3/2017 00:07 | In my opinion a lot of Woodford's recent investments (e.g. Allied Minds) seem to have acquired a market valuation that is supported mainly by his own willingness to put in more of his investors capital at higher and higher prices. Therefore long term I'm not sure having Woodford on board is particularly bullish since there is always a limit to what he can put in - in this case it is the 30% takeover threshold. And while being a closed end fund does avoid the risk of redemptions, a period of under-performance still reduces his capital to invest. When he can no longer support the increasing cash demands of his investments you still get the vicious cycle of declining asset values just not as severe as if investors were also demanding their money back. | dangersimpson2
15/3/2017 23:41 | it's all about the brand why did Rightmove win out over its competitors? first mover/dominant brand advantage they might have cracked a formula that works! might have and at worst, made the brand very saleable to the Yanks? or even here | rogthepodge
15/3/2017 21:06 | Woodford has lost his mojo recently. | rackers1
15/3/2017 21:04 | Yes, they have, they added colour purple. | hitsha1
15/3/2017 20:53 | £750 million market cap why????? Have they reinvented the wheel? This is so easily copied? Ive seen one already EWEMOVE | ricky46
15/3/2017 20:15 | Don't think Woodford will be too happy! He bought 60k shares yesterday and I assume that the placing shares will be sold at a discount to today's close (?), IMO given it's also likely to fall tomorrow as a major shareholder I doubt he is a happy bunny........ok c £180k is only pocket change, it even so!.BoD cashing in (at a discount) is a sign they know has got ahead of itself, again IMO.For the record not a holder but was tempted, and still may be, but will wait and see.DD | discodave4
15/3/2017 18:07 | I would guess that buyers for this placing by directors are already in the bag. eg Woodford can take another 3.5% ;-) | bamboo2
15/3/2017 17:55 | I'm long on PB and followers of this board will know that I have been bullish about PB for some time. But this evening's news that the FD is selling half and the CEO selling a material holding is not good news for holders, myself included. I think simso above has called it right - the directors have been made multi- millionaires in the last few weeks and they want to crystallise that status. I'd be very surprised if the share price doesn't take a serious downturn at open tomorrow as a result. Salty. | saltaire111
15/3/2017 17:47 | Directors are placing a chunk of their holdings. I wonder if they will be able to get these away anywhere close to the current price. They placed £50m at 220p just 3 weeks ago and that has to act as both a psychological anchor and have taken some of the institutional demand out of the market. The CFO selling roughly half his holding won't help as well. I assume they will announce the results before tomorrow's open. | dangersimpson2
15/3/2017 17:17 | Announcement just out confirming some large Director Sells. The FD in particular has halved his stake. The Directors must have felt suddenly rich after the massive appreciation in price over the last 6 months, and wanting to trouser some of it. | simso
15/3/2017 16:17 | blue, woodford has not sold any, but has been diluted by the placing. The reviews from Australia look good. | bamboo2
15/3/2017 16:17 | Rightmove was the disrupter, not PURP. Surprised that Rightmove, with their brand and infrastructure, doesn't pipp PURP to the post. share price has been gently sliding for some days now. | puzzler2
15/3/2017 16:09 | they are a disrupter imo check out their growing number of listings on Rightmove they seem to be gaining traction | rogthepodge
15/3/2017 16:08 | Woodford get rid a chunk of this share just now. | blueflex2
14/3/2017 15:13 | a lot of market share to take! if it works in U.S. watch out! and then takeover | rogthepodge
14/3/2017 14:52 | Appears remarkably resilient to me. Salty | saltaire111
14/3/2017 13:16 | My short from 335p will be remaining open for a while longer. | puzzler2
14/3/2017 13:13 | When the Algos start selling all market rallies, these will collapse back to 100p or lower, foundations built on sand soon cave in. | ny boy |
