Purplebricks ready for growth

Online estate agent Purplebricks (PURP) has established itself in the estate agency market and there is room for expansion.

Peel Hunt analyst Gavin Jago initiated coverage with a ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 300p. The shares were broadly flat at 142.1p yesterday.

‘Purplebricks has established itself as the third largest estate agent in the UK in two years through the successful roll out of its full service hybrid estate agency model,’ he said.

‘Given its value offering, the scope for further material share gains looks very strong. Expansion overseas and the potential to build a bigger UK lettings business also offer plenty of upside.’

He added that the ‘low and flexible cost base and strong growth outlook will drive a sharp increase in profitability and cash generation over the next few years’.

Prewar Getting Rattled ? Legitimate comment on how the company is performing is hardy drivel Nothing more pertinebt than reciving info from the coal face As advised I currently hold no positions in the company I forsee if we remain the share price is likely to spike in the stampede so it would be an inopportune time to take a short What is becoming patently obvious the company need to step up if its going to justify its current valuation

Post up your shorts/trades big hitters, you're going to be rich or made to look really stooopid.

More likely IMO, you'll look like people who post drivel on Internet Bulletin Boards but don't have the courage of their convictions to do anything about it......

absolutley dreadful service

From day one service has been dreadful. Phone calls not returned and e-mails unanswered. Viewers turning up unannounced. Rep unavailable as she left the company after a very short time and remaining rep had too many properties to manage.Once we accpeted an offer on the property it was removed from the website imediately even though I stipulated that I wanted it to still be marketed.
The conveyencing team we were tied in to were a shambles and allowed us to leave them without paying a fee which speaks volumes!
Altogether not a good experience and I would positively discourage anyone from using purple bricks.I begrudge every penny of the £882 we have had to pay for the " service".

Very simple you make a complaint online to the ASA I already have! Trustpilot rate out of 10 so Bricks new 5*TV adverts are milseading implying they have a100% rating which is patently untrue 9.4 especially as this figure is reduced by them managing to surpress negative reviews by making them verify by proving they ahve bought Bricks serviceswhich knocks out most of the trafgic hxxps://www.asa.org.uk/ Desperate measures it seems!!!!

A customer can give a 1-5 star rating but only 86.4% of customers have posted a 5 star rating.

Purplebricks new TV campaign features a 5 star Trustpilot rating very heavily no wonder they are desperate at all costs to quell any neg reviews and promote as many fav reviews Again they are pushing the edg eofthe envelope in credibility Trustpilot dont give a 5 star ratings they give arating out of 10 Bricks is currently 9.4 The promoted 5 star rating falsely indicates they have a 100% rating which is patently untrue Especially as they maintain a higher rating by atemtping to get any negative reviews removed Hope somebody is going to join me in making a complaint to the ASA Its easy to do online

Substance and credibility prewar do your own research
1 Verified posts on Trustpilot show large turnover of experts and poor communication and lack of service Just read some of the favourable ones and note the times of reviews and the over gushing bulletpoint reports and make your own mind up
2 Ask bricks how many cases have they had referred to the ombudsman
2 Watch the daily totals on their site to show targets are being missed
4 Watch in your local area to see if their claim that a buyer is found for their house within 14 days of listing

If you think directors pulling out a large chunk on flaoation and cashing in favourable options before the company turns a profit is acceptable then fine

Blatant de-ramping on here, I do wonder about folk on ADVFN posting the same drivel day after day with little credibility and substance, in most cases it ain't going to move the share price.

Guys read this

Seems a bit over the top to me. The company has not even earned a profit yet but there giving themselves what is basically a 2.7 million+ bonus.

What do you think?

More chickens coming home to roost Just goes to show the service is as good as the "expert" on the ground Increasingly that despite being a good idea they are being let down by staff, poor communication and lack of genuine expertise .How do you expect to create an expert from 11 days training

Latest post on Trustpilot clearly they have some major staff problems fastracking "experts" Wonder how many cases they have had referred to the ombudsman They seem more hell bent on suppressing criticism on Trustpilot and promoting saccharine reviews than actually dealing with the problems Here in lies the problem you offer a cheap service sometimes you get monkeys

!We booked for a ' local property expert' to visit our home in July 2015, he took photos and we agreed to advertise our home via PurpleBricks, the ad went live on the web that day but following a call from the 'expert' we agreed to take our own photo of the living room as he had forgotten to do this. This was the last we heard from him until I contacted PurpleBricks via a live webchat to ask why I hadn't heard anything from anyone since the ad went live 100 days earlier. We soon received an email from our expert asking if he could chat with us, we agreed that he could phone my husband two days later to discuss the lack of communication and how to move forward.
The phonecall resulted in Iain agreeing to change the wording of the ad slightly (the same day) and stating that he'd contact us once a week to 'check in' with us - he also acknowledged that he'd failed to communicate sufficiently. The following week he didn't call so we contacted the area manager who agreed to ask another 'expert' to revamp the ad and keep in touch with us.
Rich came out and explained that he'd take new pics and totally reword the ad, he also said he'd call us on a fortnightly basis to discuss price reductions etc. one month later we'd once again heard nothing!
In January we got a call from Rich wishing us a happy new year, at this point I explained that we'd have been happier if PurpleBricks stuck to the deal. A few days later I had another conversation with the area manager who once again agreed that the service we'd received was well below standard, he even offered to take responsibility for the sale of our home himself but told us he is based in Manchester and knows very little about the northeast.
The following week we spoke to Rebecca who agreed after speaking to the area manager to reduce the bill but when we explained that with no viewings, contacted only when we initiated it and two 'experts' we felt that other than paying for the energy certificate we had not received any type of service worth paying for.
The ombudsman agreed that the service was distressing for us as we do want to find a buyer and PurpleBricks had not done all it could to make that possible. We paid the amount agreed by the ombudsman the following day and asked once again if the for sale sign we'd asked to be removed back in February could be taken down, the next day it was removed.
Overall for us signing up to PurpleBricks was a terrible experience which we will never repeat. The aim of this review is simply to make others aware that not every experience with PurpleBricks is positive BEWARE!"

For anyone who has missed it:

I took a small position in PURP with a view to increasing my position after further due diligence.

I am also selling my home through purple brick which has given me a chance to test their marketing claims. There have been a few minor niggles with my LPE, however these were overcome though dialogue with my LPE.

My concern currently is the lack of support/customer service from the Central Team at PB. I was given contradictory answers to a query i posed on the 24/7 online web chat so I rang PB and asked to speak to a person who would be able to clarify the situation. The advisor was very reluctant to let me speak to the Team Leader and quite rudely put me on hold mid sentence. I asked her if realised what she had done and she refused to accept what she had done until i reminded her that the call was being recorded. Only then did she apologise.

Having been poorly treated and more importantly not been given a clear answer to my query I complained to PB via their Official Complaints Procedure. Their CP states that I would receive a reply within 24 hours. The response to my email took PB 7 days. This email did not answer my original question so I escalated my complaint to Stage 2. PB states that the Regional Director will contact me with 2 working days.I also asked for my Complaint Reference Number which should have been provided in Stage 1.

After 6 days i had still not received a response so I wrote to the Customer Service Manager at PB Head Office in Solihull. This was sent recorded post and was signed for on delivery. A further 12 days have passed since I sent the Letter and I have still not received a response. I also have not received a CRN.

My thoughts at this stage are that PB are undoubtedly cheap however they could improve with regard to Customer Service and After Sales Support. Maybe they do not have the resource to give the service they promise? I understand their will be growing pains in a new venture, however politeness costs nothing and their staff should be able to give a clear answer to a question ( or pass on to someone who can ).

I do not have much faith in PB Complaints Procedure however I will pursue my complaint until I receive a satisfactory response to my query.

I think so Bamboo not ony content to take a great chunk of money out of the company before its amde aprofit they awarded themselves ,friends and family options allowing them to exercise at a fixed price within a prescribed time scale Warrants means that the company issues new shares
