03/9/2012 09:10 | From the August interims: Dividends Under the terms of the current Offer from Motorola Solutions to acquire Psion, the Board of Directors is not proposing an interim dividend in 2012 (2011: 1.3 pence per share). | wessie
29/8/2012 16:30 | anyone know what has happened to our interim divi (i did'nt recieve mine ) i suppose motorola solutions will take it and the company on the cheap as well(just great.) | johnward1234
20/8/2012 12:37 | Soros Fund Management trimming their holding | praipus
17/8/2012 13:57 | hi praipus glad to see someone is still here. anyway i'm sure most psion private investors are thinking this is a poor price for this company (hope motorola solutions don't get their 90%.) but it seems likely even with a new offer timetable extended. | johnward1234
13/8/2012 10:36 | hello is there anyone still here. | johnward1234
25/7/2012 09:57 | Did you know Soro's has a holding here? (Opened in June) I try to track Soros and other hedge fund type here: | praipus
27/6/2012 11:57 | rathkum I think they are some kind of hybrid systematic trader and arbitrager. They seem to buy quite a lot of takeover targets immediately after the first formal offer is announced. I suspect hoping for: 1) a counter offer 2) if not counter offer only make a small loss if any 3) risk the possibility of larger loss only if the offers gets withdrawn. If you had enough historic data you could work out the probabilities. 4) they sell the shares of the bidder hoping they will go down and make something both sides. | praipus
27/6/2012 10:53 | Praipus-I have wonder if these guys are buying in the market on behalf of Motorola. The amount they are buying is very small indeed so that would seem unlikely. | rathkum
27/6/2012 10:28 | First Eagle buying even more I'm tracking the rest of their holdings on the WAM thread | praipus
26/6/2012 15:13 | Once again First Eagle are buying at more than the Take over offer price!!! | praipus
22/6/2012 10:40 | Agreed. Must admit to buying these without looking but now I am I see that NAV is £1.22, Tobin Q is .52 and current ratio is 1.5 so IMHO takeover would normally be between £1.20 and £1.60! | praipus
22/6/2012 10:29 | Let's hope there is another player prepared to out bid Motorola though I suspect this is a very long shot. I always felt a bidder to have to bid over £1 to win over Psion but I guess in these markets they were always going to be vulnerable. | rathkum
22/6/2012 10:06 | Even more!!! | praipus
21/6/2012 11:15 | Their back for more!!!! Is this just arbitrage or is there another potential bidder here? Are the management up to an MBO? any views? | praipus
20/6/2012 12:08 | Noticed First Eagle buying a few here with a CFD For anyone intrerested I'm tracking the rest of their holdings here: | praipus
18/6/2012 07:55 | British computing pioneer Psion (LON:PON) today recommended a £129.3 million takeover bid from Motorola Solutions. The 88p a share bid is priced at a 45.5 per cent premium to yesterday's closing price of 60.5p. | lucky_punter
15/6/2012 18:03 | Hi she-ra what was the silly acquisition intermec made? | amchugh
15/6/2012 16:05 | This is excellent news. | relwood
15/6/2012 14:20 | I suppose Dell or HP, should they wish to get into this market still have Intermec to go at or even Motorola Solutions itself. One thing we can be pretty sure about is that Intermec, with all its debt wont be making a counter bid.Not since they made that last silly acquisition. | she-ra
15/6/2012 14:17 | This is an agreed bid so it looks very unlikely but long shot of a possible counter bid | rathkum
15/6/2012 14:08 | HP could use their cash! | trewinney
15/6/2012 13:53 | wow - good on all holders | bullinachinashop3
15/6/2012 13:52 | Cant believe HP and Dell have never attempted to enter this market. | she-ra |
