10/11/2011 15:07 | With results looming, whats the betting that there`s another contract in the pipeline. After all, the quality of the last deal would indicate that others would follow. | fido
02/11/2011 18:20 | The company is working on the order, but a fuller rerating will come with further information on what margin is being acheived and prospects for further orders. I am sure there will be further drifting up in anticipation of the interim results, later in November. I am happy to wait. | tomoslewis
02/11/2011 15:43 | if people could cash (some of their) shares in September for 200p, shouldn't we be up at 200p by now .. instead of 97p? | andrbea
25/10/2011 10:01 | Tomos. All looks good. | squaddie
24/10/2011 18:21 | Another strong rise on very low volume, cant wait to find more details of he margins being acheived on that massive order and information on prospects for other orders | tomoslewis
13/10/2011 22:26 | Good to see pgs drifting back in the right direction squaddie. It does not take much volume to move the price. I expect more buying in the run up to the results. All academic for me as I am holding tight. | tomoslewis
10/10/2011 12:47 | Hi Tomo. Not expecting any extra news, but with the audiotel order, and the company already looking to return more cash to shareholders, I can this this going back over the £1.00 with ease. Only my view of course. | squaddie
09/10/2011 21:52 | Is anyone expecting an update prior to the next set of results? I note not too many returns over the last few years. | tomoslewis
26/8/2011 10:55 | Hello squaddie, you're not quite alone - but you soon may be :-) I have held some of these for some years (London & Boston before they became PSG) and had pretty much forgotten about them and written them off util I got a letter from the broker. Need to do a bit more background reading... | hlbinternational
22/8/2011 15:43 | Correct, but only 5.56% or 1 for every 17 shares you hold. Still nice little divi without having to pay any tax. ( unless you exceed your capital gains ). | squaddie
22/8/2011 11:39 | so we can tender our shares for 200p each, according to basic entitlement rules got the letter from my broker today how often do U see that.... (200p for market value ca 90p) | andrbea
11/8/2011 11:27 | from 5 days back: In a sea of red there were some risers this week. Legal property search specialist PSG Solutions (trading down 8.4 per cent today, at 87.5p) more than doubled in value early in the week after the company extended a major contract and announced a bumper share buy-back programme. On Tuesday PSG revealed a 400 per cent increase to a contract with the British government. It will now receive an additional £39million through the amended deal, taking the total contract value to £48.7million. Then on Wednesday it told investors that it will buy-back 5.55 per cent of the company's shares at 200p each a massive 277 per cent premium to the 53p-a-share price at the start of the week. 04/8/2011 14:04 | I was lucky enough to buy some more first thing this morning. The final statement from the Chairman's statement in the March 2011 accounts: "Audiotel has the potential to expand internationally in the foreseeable future. It is difficult, however, to forecast the scale of the potential." In my opinion, Tuesday's amended order for £48.7m gives more light on the potential. I estimate that Audiotel's turnover should increase from £4.09m to approx. £29.8m in the current financial year, dwarfing the rest of the group. This as a result of half of one contract. How many more similar contracts are out there? Last year Audiotel made a profit of £1.5m. If their profit margins were maintained, this would Equate to a ten fold increase or circa 38p per share before the tender offer. All this without the need for a fundraising! Clearly these are my own projections but it does indicate the potential significance of the announcememt for a rerating of the shares. Looking forward to tomorrow's tender document. | tomoslewis
04/8/2011 09:06 | Hi B2F. The tender offer is a way of returning cash built up on the companies books for some years. I must admit I am a little puzzled as to why this only applies to 5.5% of the shares. Prehaps thats all that is still in public hands ?. I for one will be taking up the offer. | squaddie
04/8/2011 08:36 | other thread | andrbea
04/8/2011 08:11 | so the northland news followed the other news from yesterday: Shares in PSG Solutions (PGS) flew 32.5p to 84p after it announced that the value of an existing contract had been increased by 39 million pounds to 48.7 million pounds, excluding VAT. The contract was originally awarded to a subsidiary of the property information provider on 10th May, by a government department, and was valued at around 11 million pounds. The project is expected to be completed in October 2012. | andrbea
04/8/2011 07:53 | so...northland are aquiring 5% of the company for circa 3m advised by northland as a good deal!!!! and if the shareholders vote yes they will get that value issued to them like some kind of dividend? Have i got the gist? | bridge2far
03/8/2011 18:34 | that was announced very late in the day... :-( | sikhthetech
03/8/2011 16:57 | Yes, Yes, oh Yes......New Zealand here I come. | squaddie
03/8/2011 13:31 | This news should make for an interesting AGM tommorrow. Here's some inflrmation on group companies from their website www.psgsols.com I suspect all eyes and ears will be on the surveillance and counter surveillance businness Auditel PSG comprises three businesses:- Property Searches key requirements for every conveyance of a property are carried out by PSG for its national customers and locally by around 65 Franchise outlets situated throughout England and Wales. Over ten years, each franchise has built up a business with its customers, the local High Street Solicitors and Estate Agents. Equally each franchisee has built relationships with the industry's suppliers the Local Authorities, where the appropriate registers of property data can be conveniently inspected. This country-wide local coverage enables PSG to back up an IT based delivery system to national conveyancing customers with this unique bespoke offering. The resultant PSG Brand gives it a USP in the home buying sector. Continued investment in PSG's IT Pipeline, combined with the benefits of the national "hands on" structure, will enable PSG to grow its market share. Surveillance and counter surveillance equipment - Audiotel International Limited - "Audiotel" based in Corby, Northamptonshire designs, develops and manufactures in house a select range of products for highly specialised markets using very specific technical know how. Audiotel is recognised for its outstanding expertise in providing leading edge products to deal with bespoke customer requirements. Based on Audiotel's expertise and proven ability to innovate products and solutions for major customers, it is now well set to expand its operations significantly. Specialist Packaging - Moore & Buckle "M & B" provides bespoke packaging solutions. Innovative use of plastic film is a speciality. Much of its business is for the food, pharmaceutical industries or where a prerequisite is the maintenance of the integrity of the content contained within a package. | tomoslewis
03/8/2011 10:32 | with the contract win what do you think the share price is worth thanks phil | philmar089
03/8/2011 10:01 | How's about that, folks! I WAS thinking of selling some now they've reached 50p, but not now. Maybe I'll wait till they're 150p....or 250p....or whatever? Audiotel has VERY high profit margins, so this could be H U G E ! I'll probably wake up in a minute to find I've been dreaming! | beauuk
03/8/2011 09:46 | great news -there's a distinct lack of interest in them GLA | sikhthetech
03/8/2011 09:34 | This return is massive news. Not only does it confirm an increase in contract value to £48.7m but that this will be earned over 17months ( May return did not specify a timeframe). On a straight line basis thats £25.7m in the current financial year and £23m in the following year. The group as a whole had turnover of £10.7m in the last year, £4.09m of which came from the Audiotel subsidiary. Profits were £1.139m for the group but £1.5m for Audiotel. The contract must have a significant impact on profit and earnings per share. Audiotel has high margins on their standard contracts. Last year's profits equate to eps of 3.8p. What about this year? No figures from the company but I reckon Audiotel's earnings are set to rocket to circa £25-£29m (subject to contract timing). This should result in eps many multiples of those earned last year. | tomoslewis |
