29/12/2016 19:43 | Kwizza very good find. Thankyou. from above link ' Whether it’s as small as the introduction of beacon technology to connect with the customer on a digital level, or as advanced as introducing AI to revolutionise their store layout, organisations should begin to embrace technology in 2017.' | hazl
29/12/2016 16:07 | Could Proxama beacons/payment be used in a similar way with others | kwizza
29/12/2016 14:37 | The market decided that PROX was oversold and went up yesterday, today so far it is holding its own. He has clearly got money on it not succeeding and perhaps he should have closed his short last Friday when he would have been at least 5% better off. Beacon technology does seem to be the way the advertising industry is going. We all know the pit-falls here. I think that it has a certain value and I genuinely worry it could be taken out at a fraction of it's worth. After all,as it states in the header 'Non-executive Director - Gavin Breeze ~ 27% share holding Gavin Breeze is a successful entrepreneur and investor in the electronics payment space and has served as a director at a number of companies in that sector. Gavin co-founded DataCash Group Plc of which he was a director, and which was sold to MasterCard(R) in 2010.' It is a gamble and that is why you shouldn't put your life savings here or for that matter any share. However IF it succeeds it could be a very nice investment indeed. IMO | hazl

29/12/2016 08:39 | ' For example, Proxama has 'beacon enabled' Heathrow's LHRLINK terminal-to-airport hotel bus service, newsstands outside major London Zone 1 and 2 stations and at 600 pubs and bars, with 200 located adjacent to all 20 of the Premier League’s football clubs. The new partnerships complement existing relationships with a range of out-of-home media owners and mean consumers can be reached in more places. “While mobile is growing faster than all other digital advertising formats, campaigns are still rooted in the world of display. The power of mobile is context and being able to deliver a precisely targeted advert based on the consumer’s context in that specific moment. The lack of context is making it difficult for brands and agencies to ensure campaigns deliver strong engagement and return on investment," said John Kennedy, CEO of Proxama.' Again 'Being able to reach sought after demographics with rich content, as part of a contextually relevant engagement is vital. Through the power of proximity, brands can do just that," he added. 28/12/2016 22:19 | 'There are a plethora of voucher services that provide merchants with very little differentiation in a crowded market place and have, as yet, failed to service the independent merchant successfully. Merchants need new ways to attract shoppers into store and to incentivise existing customers to visit and spend more. Mobile location-based services hold great promise to address these needs, but have yet to fully realise their potential. Additionally mobile based services have to date, largely been the domain of large retailers and brands that have invested heavily in the mobile channel.' from the gov. uk blog | hazl
28/12/2016 21:47 | Thought so. This company is dead. Nobody uses Bluetooth. Anybody with a phone knows that having bluetooth on eats your battery. 28/12/2016 19:24 | 'Our hearts lie with proximity marketing and we were aware that our technology had the capabilities to solve a very real world problem: the decline of the UK high street and the loss of our bricks and mortar independent merchants, as they struggle to keep up with the financial strains attached to embracing technology. Through our SBRI project (which is split across two phases, spanning 3 years) we are creating new, affordable, digital technologies, to engage and attract consumers away from online commerce back into high street stores.'
