23/9/2006 13:54 | Well guys, I was intrigued to find out more and have just read the prospectus. I like the concept easing the ability to monetise small quantities of stranded gas, and especially the capability to deal effectively with low quality sources like landfill gas. But I have to say I'm a bit unconvinced. Their alleged expertise is the ability to construct small scale economic liquification units especially coping with low quality gas sources. So why isn't their business plan manufacturing such units for sale to the owners of such sources? Instead it is operating (in JVs) on their own account which sounds very capital intensive. But they don't have capital. They hope for debt funding of a mere 50-60% but even that's going to be at a shocking Libor+8% (with a load of warrants thrown in) and may well not even be available. It seems from the prospectus that Cyrogen manufactured units but came to a sticky end with Prometheus as the phoenix company emerging with the IP. There's very little explanation of exactly what's special about their technology too. Perhaps one needs to read the patents and come to one's own view but they really should be explaining. The web of transactions seems seriously murky. Does anyone understand the score with Apollo Energy 1? A JV with "Applied LNG" who it seems already had all that was needed (but presumably lacked cash). Prometheus's buy in was provision of a liquification facility, right up their street. Except Applied already had one so Prometheus bought it off Applied and supplied it to the JV? Added to the US domicile but Reg S and I'm afraid it's not for me. | rapier686
20/9/2006 21:08 | not expecting this to move much in the near future so happy to sit tight for the longer term. We have a bottom at about high 70s which is the placing price. cant see any reason for those to sell. positive news will bring a rise. stay chilled H. | humbugg
20/9/2006 11:44 | s55 .... agreed .... but market sentiment also plays an important part in which way things will go .... although all the talk is of climate change then on average most 'new energy' stocks are down overall recently .... although some can still take off with the right conditions .... was antipating LNR would show a reasonable increase if PEC was one of the one's that did shine at time of IPO.... still remain a holder of LNR for the time being | don muang
20/9/2006 11:38 | god shake. it only got floated a few days ago.at least give it time .its doomed already............. | spanner55
20/9/2006 11:36 | mftb... so let's hope when you get a new issue that rockets your brokers don't repeat the 'mistake' .... | don muang

18/9/2006 21:05 | You guys do know this is a 'Regulation "S"' stock don't you ? Too dodgy to be sold on its home soil - but ok for the likes of our markets............. | ttjohnson
18/9/2006 20:29 | matty, Thats only one of co's they have a stake in. Very interesting. Yes, good day for PEC ;-)))) | humbugg
18/9/2006 18:29 | Just had a chance to look at CVS as have not had access to a comp over the weekend. Judging by the interims out today they look like they could be on there way to new year highs. Will look further as i have only skimmed through the numbers. Good day for PEC today! No word from the company though which is disappointing. Will try them again and see if they respond. Would be a bad thing if they were to have bad PR. | mattyfromtheblock
15/9/2006 16:55 | matty, been out all day, quite pleased with the week. would be nice to have some figures so we can make a more informed judgement. PEC might get some positive newsflow this weekend. Im off to Paris with the missus for a hot weekend.Take a look at CVS tell me what you think of its current valuation? keep pecking away ;-)). H. | humbugg
15/9/2006 08:06 | So, what does today have in store for us? humbugg, I have emailed the co. re: LNG pricing structure as I myself would like to (and need to) know. Will get back to u asap. | mattyfromtheblock
14/9/2006 17:32 | them sells are buys... at least 50 000 is..... its mine .... | spanner55
14/9/2006 14:54 | estimated 1.8m gallons per year(5k per day) form the initial plant. any idea what it sells for? H | humbugg
14/9/2006 11:47 | interesting to see a relatively small trade push the offer out.....I wonder....an early bird from the states ? | thecynical1
14/9/2006 10:10 | Thats an interesting point cynical. We shall see, come the afternoon, if there are a few more trades going through. I think this could have a good day tomorrow once people start reading about the first day of dealings. LNG is a great business to be in! Right off to the gym. Keep her steady while i'm gone ;-) | mattyfromtheblock
14/9/2006 10:00 | I wonder if there will be interest from the other side of the pond in the afternoon ? you would think that there should be a couple of well informed parties over there who may want to get in on the action ? any thoughts ? | thecynical1
14/9/2006 09:48 | I was tempted, but then thought about my head when waking up for PEC so I decided against having a few. Good games last night though! I'm gonna say that the 40k was a buy from earlier that helped push the price up but was filled at the upper end of the price hence the 91p pricing. All very interesting stuff at the moment! | mattyfromtheblock
14/9/2006 09:25 | saw it. thanks. will have a look at the ones you mentioned....very interesting to see that the holding estimated to be worth 5 million is now worth nearly 6 million......someone has got to twig.... | thecynical1
14/9/2006 09:22 | Matty...I am here because of my interest in LNR....they hold a nice percentage of this.....and that percentage is getting more valuable as the price moves up nicely...which is a nice start to a morning which could otherwise be pretty grim....couple too many watching the game yesterday.... ; ) | thecynical1
14/9/2006 09:16 | Lol, hello cynical. I'm sure there are. It's not often that an LNG company comes to the English Stock Exchange (this may even be the first, correct me if i'm wrong) and so i'm sure this has caught the eye of some other investors. Jed do you have a breakdown of the co's and insti's who took up some of the placing? Cheers | mattyfromtheblock |
