One reason American Pet plan sales are extremely profitable might be the $100 sign up fee per plan, paid by the pet owning customer.PVG presumably receive a slice of this.It might help to explain the brokers confidence in his earnings forecasting over the next few years.

I love that tree it's so simple but clever. You get to see your pets name each time you call in.kids will love to search for their family dog or cat. Placed in a prominent position it relaxes any customer thinking of signing up. They see others have happily joined already. The PVG sales and training team can also point to this success encouraging new hospitals to join. The word then spreads within the veterinary community.🌿

Great stuff Petlover a superb performance by that hospital. There is a good chance the yanks will be able to sell at a much higher rate than other territories. We need a few hundred hospitals signed up though in short order to start to make a difference. The £1m will be invested in growing the business in USA and other territories.

I am not sure my wife would agree.I have gone back to the presentation and you are right there they use the term practices for the USA: 'As at 23 November, 58 practices signed contracts with 26launched'Perhaps it's worth contacting the company for clarification on this?

But in final results they talk about 482 clinics signed up to pet plan in U.K. and 58 hospitals in USA. I'm pretty sure therefore they use 'hospital' and 'clinic' to refer to one single site. I'd be happy to be corrected on this point though!

• Over last 5 years 159 practices joined PPCP (each with multiple clinics), only 8 practices have left (excluding consolidation activity)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is from the presentation we are also told the UK now has around 150,000 plans up and running.Around 1,000 plans per practice.

Would PVG not use the same methodology in the USA ?

If you are right I haven't been comparing like with like and therefore have probably underestimated rate of growth. The broker targets for 17/18 onwards would make more sense tonne also.

Are you sure that is right pet lover re US? The final results talk about 58 hospitals being signed up and I had taken that to mean 58 sites. If what you are saying is right then it would be good to find out how many individual sites have signed up.

In the UK PVG has 150 practices selling the Pet Plans. Each of them often has more than one branch. The 150 have around 150,000 plans or a 1,000 each.America is growing fast and has 58 Practices signed up that will have more than one branch each.

From what I can see he has encountered one or two issues in the past, going on what's published on the Papua mining website. I assume his interest here is just as a private investor but who knows. If anyone has any insight then please share.

Well I've added a few more over the last few days. It may go lower of course but looking 2/3 years out from now I suspect this will be seen as a good level to buy at.
