Notification of Change of Auditor

Premier Oil plc announces that, following the completion of a formal audit tender process, led by the Company's Audit and Risk Committee, the Board has approved the proposed appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as the Company's auditor for the financial year commencing 1 January 2017. This appointment remains subject to approval by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting to be held in May 2017. The Company's current auditor, Deloitte LLP, will conduct the audit for the year ending 31 December 2016.
The background to the formal audit tender process, which was conducted in accordance with requirements under the UK Corporate Governance Code and The Statutory Auditors and Third Country Auditors Regulations 2016, is included in Premier's 2015 annual report and accounts.
The Board of Premier extends its appreciation and thanks to Deloitte LLP for their contribution over many years.
