I always check my POO. It is a very good indicator.

....and we can also see that POO has very little direct correlation with what is happening at PMO lately.

Initially you'd imagine PMO is being sold off because POO is down but even after POO returns to its' previous price the shorts double down on PMO to keep it in their chosen range.

Very little to do with POO other than a handy reason to push PMO down when it falls. Other than that I think we'd need to see a significant rise in POO for it to have a positive impact on PMO.

At least I can stop bothering to check the POO after the UK closes each day now!

It appears as though anything above 83.25p on the bid will not be tolerated today. Obviously not part of the plan. The spike on POO caught them out a bit but soon shovelled enough sells back on to bring it back down.

I am really looking forward to the day they break ranks and whoever doesn't spot it quickly enough will end up paying for all the other shorts to close.

Many years ago I parked some money in my SIPP and then rang the broker and bought a £5k shape of stock. I then asked the broker to repeat the purchase and he hesitated and asked me why I didn't buy a £10k shape in the first place.

I explained that I wanted my trades to go through the book and for others to see a series of £5k buys going through on a small stock.

He told me he wouldn't do it and wasn't going to play that game. It was one of my first dealings in shares so I queried his statement and said that I could see it every day happening to stocks - especially with sells etc

He said that he knew it happened but wasn't about to start doing that for his clients.

It was my first time of realizing it was frowned upon for PI's to try and get an advantage in the markets but that institutions etc were allowed to play that game.

I just wish that more brokers were principled like that rather than happy to do the bidding of whoever their paymaster is.

I appreciate that and tend to only comment on observation and facts, if it's welcomed by some then it's a worthwhile exercise.

Hi Bakedbean, nice to see posters who have experience to see the more background indicators of what is going on with the share price Useful for others to know what is happening with SP, who may in ordinary situations panic and sell, so in fact you are helping many with your analysis.
Some may only invest £1,000 so they do not worry about these movements, where others have £500k invested, which means can be plus or minus £25k a day, therefore these indicators are useful.
Whether you have control or not, everyone can then make informed decisions about how they react to the share price i.e. no-one has control about the oil price, but the wise investors make sure they watch it as an indicator.
Thanks for posting your findings, I certainly read your posts with interest and also begorrah88.

Impossible to control due to the bots in play. The shorters have a special keyboard whereby they continuously spam Function O or FO for short. Longs tend to counter this with Function FS or FFS for short. Unfortunately the FO command sends a unique algorithm code into DMA called 'bagsey no returners' which totally discounts the longs FFS command. All IMHO, DYOR, shares may go up or down, t's and c's apply!
