The price movement for a few days and lots of smaller trades. I think the MM's spooked the PI the other day with the large fall so a biger player can fill up on the cheap.

There mustn't be much small stock left so the price will be on the rise again next week IMH

I suspect another large order to fill as the MM's just soak up small sells. over 40k went through today and normally the share price would have dipped on that. Perhaps Nobel are filling their boots?

I agree - much more action to come (I hope) when financials are released.

Illuminatus,

Agreed, so far so fast was the problem. It was always going to fall back. Onwards and upwards from here. Still the trading statement to to come out in a couple of weeks time.

I think you are correct - I continue to hold. The 'tree shake' has shaken a few out and I think we will have a steadier rise now and more stability.
Was no surprise to see the retracement yesterday.

Oh Well, first down day for a while. To be expected after such a meteoric rise.

Soul Trader,

Bit of both, I think someone wants the stock to fall to pick some up cheaply. Also, people have made a lot of money recently on this and there will probably be some top slicing going on.

I guess it's a just a bit of profit-taking by some who have more than doubled their money and wanted to take advantage of last week's strong run.

Surely the fall is hardly warranted by the volume involved, unless somehow the MM's still have too much stock on their hands.

A few jitters this morning, Looks like someone wants the price to fall so they can pick up more cheaply in IMHO.

As I have already stated, my opinion is that the TS on 23rd will be cautious but optimistic - I cannot see any other.
Anything better than cautious and you will not hold these down for love or money. I think the more important announcement will come with the next set of figures....March?

Martin,

agreed, the new management team have been very cautious up to now, why would they put their neck on the line unless the results are anything but good.

IMHO, I think sales pre Christmas were probably well ahead of expectations, but the directors wanted to play this down until evrything has been finalised post New Year. So, I hope, the trading statement will show they are out performing expectations.

PDR management would have to be complete plonkers to have pre-announced on 15-Dec-06 that they would be releasing an (optional IMHO!!) trading statement in w/s 22-Jan-07, unless they already knew it was going to be a positive one.

So, are they plonkers? I rather doubt it.

Cheers, Martin

Eisler - I am watching closely and although not a chartist I do take great notice of 'intra day' trading and graphs. Fridays intra day is screaming blue again on Monday and the late tick up and buy at the bell cements this belief.
On a cautious note - these could be flying too fast, too quickly, too far so I'm sort of wary at the moment although any retrace will be quickly absorbed again I feel....
But my daddy always said ' a share will always go higher than expected'......
and of course the opposite too!

Does the late 32.5k buy late doors suggest another rise on Monday?

DoQ. Looking back at the long term chart and results going back to 2003, I don't think that PDR traded on a higher pe than 12. Future earnings involve much guessetimating at the mo, and the directors have not recently been buying (unlike the last onslaught of directors buys when the share price when vertical). Also, as you say, debt is a worry - just look at Homebuy (I was lucky to bail out before disaster struck).

So, PDR is not for widows and orphans, but in a stock challenge, what the hell!
